It wouldn't surprise me especially considering berlusconi saw us win 3-0 v. inter w/o him. For the amount he makes, he's not worth it. Still our most talented player, but he makes 3 mil more than pirlo, and next year will be on wages 4+ mil over next guy. Double it cause of tax in italy, is he REALLY worth it?
I mean he flopped in ucl, and isn't a leader. A leader doesn't get two consecutive red's in most important part of season. I think there is a valid reason to speculate we could get rid of him, especially considering he's turning 30, and the high expectations.
I'd rate his first half of season a 9.7/10. An A grade. But seriously, since january? C-/D+?
And when you pay that much u don't expect so much inconsistency. Yes, everyone has 'an off game or two'. But his is longer.
Ronaldo or not. If not signing Zlatan freed up funds to get Ganso, Hernanes, another CM and a proper LB (along w/ a serviceable 4th striker as depth). I think it makes us better.
And I have my doubts how he'd even play with Ganso. It seems the better everyone else has gotten, the worst Zlatan has. He wants to play with 10 DMs and just huck him the ball and let him go solo.
Ibra is a great player. No doubt about that. But we don't need someone who is a beast against weaker teams. If Berlusconi wants to buy 2 champions, so be it. But 2 champions who are champions against the big guns in Italy and Europe.

I must say that even though there are valid points here, it's still jarring to hear that people would possibly be willing to get rid of Ibrahimovic. I think the greater chance is that he stays, and I will be happy if that happens only if we buttress the rest of our team. Ibra on his own is a Champions League flop. At the age of 30, I don't think that is going to change. We need players who have the temperament of Rui Costa and Kaka'. Sure, they were nice guys, but they were also crucial matchwinners in ALL competitions.
I don't know what Berlusconi means by "champion"; that has become a relative term at Milan over the years. Ronaldo was considered a champion when he came here despite the pudge and injuries. If the champion is someone like Javier Pastore, then I will be thrilled.

He is not scoring goals and getting suspension.... Not going to defend his suspension as that was stupid, but u can't say he is not needed for not scoring in a while. It seems like that whenever the a Milan striker is not scoring people tends to believe he is useless and should be sold. It started with Sheva back in 03 when Pippo was scoring and Sheva was on the bench, then with Pato about 4 games ago and now Ibra.
Milan wouldn't be leading without him, but again if he isn't the focal point of our team, would he have done as well as he did? I don't believe he carried our team to where we are, though we clearly cannot discount his contribution this season.
I'm not being ungrateful in saying we can replace Ibra, as I thought I made it clear that we can consider it if we change our approach or system next season. I wouldn't mind Borriello on the bench as a replacement for Ibra, if we have a different approach in our attacking play which doesn't require a player like Ibrahimovic up front.
I want to make it clear, I have always said Ibra's made a great contribution this season and he's played an important role in our success.

I don't think any interview of either the DIS or Ganso is "invented" by any journalist. Transfer rumors are though.

I've been away awhile guys, can someone summarize transfer speculation in past week. I ready somewhere in an Italian article that Milan want to implement a 4-2-3-1 next year for Champions League, and want Ronaldo:
