Milan to leave San Siro

I would have liked for us to purchase San Siro on our own and Inter can build a new stadium elsewhere. I don’t know why but I have this nightmare scenario in my head where both clubs combine into 1. Won’t happen but it’s been in the back of my mind for a few years now.

I would also prefer a stadium of our own.

It wpuld have been wonderful to have our own stadium. But beggars can't be choosers i guess. I'm actually shocked the sale of San Siro was even approved. I'll wait to count the chicken until after they hatch. I think there will be a rigorous appeals process. Never know in Italy...

I also prefer having our own stadium, and I bet Inter fans think the same.

But from a neutral view, or for the good of Italy, grouping 2 clubs with great history in a stadium is a lovely story to tell.

Calcio Mercato states that after the stadium is built, our transfer budget could go from 100 million to 250 per year. Don’t think this will be the case though unfortunately.

Official: Inter and Milan have signed the documents to buy San Siro and land around it.

Apparently 197 million plus VAT. They avoided the deadline of November 10 that made parts of the stadium protected historically. Now presumably a shared stadium will be ready the latest for Euro 2032.
