About 15-18 years ago, as a student, I went to Italy a few times by taking the cheap airline Ryan Air, arrived at Atalanta airport, then took the bus to Milan.
I must say the infrastructure of Milan or Italy in general is the worst among the European countries I visited (about 10, as I studied in Germany).

It is a surprise that Italian football was at the top of Europe for a period and Italy is still a G7 country.

Italy doesnt want to develop their infrastructure probably to preserve their medievel achitecture Icon_lol2 On a serious note on what I have read Italian economy is laughing stock since 2009 just like its NT. I won't go too much political but what Italy always amuses me its presence of too much far left and far right factions as it is de facto European capital of both the factions Big Grin

Anyone seen the sneak peak of Man United’s projected new Stadium? Looks pretty nice. And it only took them about a year to basically be at the ready to build stage. Probably just a few last minute documents needed and they can start. It’s going beside Old Trafford. I really hope that once a new stadium is built, Gerry sells the club and never goes back to Italy again

"Official: Milan and Inter send offer to buy San Siro."

"Milanese giants Milan and Inter have made an offer to buy rights to the San Siro area, including the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which the two clubs have been sharing since 1947. The offer is believed to be around €200m, the price set by the Italian Tax Office earlier this year."

I guess we'll be sharing stadium in the future as well.

According to Il Giorno, The Gruppo Verde San Siro Association still hopes that the project for the new stadium next to the San Siro will fall through and that Milan and Inter will decide to build their new facility elsewhere

Quote:In a special statement, the municipality of San Donato Milanese (where Milan have taken some action in relation to the construction of their own stadium), announced that:
- "... due to the interest expressed by Milan in the San Siro area in recent days, the decision was taken to suspend the ongoing procedure also in order to assess any alternative variants of the development of the project..."
- "... we have received confirmation from Milan, that if the hypothesis of building a stadium in the city of Milan is realized, their interest in San Donato will still be valid. In particular, they would be interested in building a sports center for youth and women..."

Thanks @milaneye for translation

I guess we are sharing a stadium with Inter Dodgy

Anyone else see that there was a proposal to build the new stadium underground? The overhead picture looks pretty cool and would allow us to meet the green space requirements the council demands.
