Summer mercato 2024

It's just a good thing for a club like us to start the season with +30M in the pocket.

Our best hope might be to try and include Saelemaekers as a makeweight in a some transfer. Maybe for Buongiorno.
I think we can say goodbye to Zirkzee.

We'll sign our 7th choice, whoever that is, on the last day of the transfer window.

I have a big deja vu about this....probably we end up signing somebody like Zapata, and be like, he has Serie A experience...bla bla
You guessed right half of "mister X's" name... It indeed ends with "ata", but starts with Mor Tongue
Avaiting for arrival of exorcist into our boardroom.

Leonardo Pavoletti?

Helped Cagliari stay up and bags of experience. Could be the new Giroud..
My guess is Lukaku. Just feels like one of those deals that is inevitable for some reason lol
Lots of news

CDK to Atalanta official.
Jimenez €5 million to Real looks done, I think Real have a buy back for future.
Jovic staying almost official.
Theo didn't 100% confirm he is staying, he said he is concentrated on Euros for now. Few days ago Ibra said Leao, Theo and Maignan will stay, I guess time will tell?
I'm glad they bought Jimenez (at least for the time being). There's a good player in him and I think we should be able to see a lot more of him this next year. The fact he can bounce back and forth between the senior squad and U23 is also great news because he won't lose any sharpness. Same goes for all those that will play between the 2 teams.

Jovic staying is neither here nor there for me. I know he scored plenty of goals for a fringe player as he was. He is a fox in the box with excellent movement and smart finishing. But I was always a bit disappointed in the effort I saw from him, even when he was "fighting" for a starting spot and a new contract. BUT, he is probably just as good and if not better than all other options out there that could serve as back up CFs for us. And we already have the guy here "for free", so it makes no sense to let him go and then spend 10m+ on a back up....because that's what one will cost (AT LEAST).

On Theo....it's always frustrating for me when players say these things in the press. Especially ones that are important, loved by the fans and have even worn the armband. If he wants to "only focus on France" at the moment as he said, then he could have answered the question with "I'm focused on France right now and will only answer questions related to France". It's kind of saying the same thing, but at least it's not implying one way or the other. Everything that he wants to say about Milan can be said in private with the management.
This is why I couldn't give less if a shit about any of today's players. They all whore around in the media. I take that answer as a public announcement of "I have had offers, I can get a crap ton more money elsewhere, I want the same at Milan, or I will ask to go.....while also, I may just ask to go regardless of Milan's offer".

For me, I wouldn't dick around with Theo. Offer him what a top fullback should get and what a top fullback like himself is being offered elsewhere. I'd imagine it's somewhere in the 7-10m net (low end - high end). If he doesn't accept and we KNOW we can't (won't) go higher....then sell. I don't want to get to this time next year with a year left on his contract and being held hostage.

Another thing worth saying on Theo, and I said this early on in the season.....he was REALLY unmotivated and looked careless on the field for the first 3-4 months. Not sure what it all was about, but it was very frustrating. He turned it around in 2024, but I don't want to see that again. So if he wants to go, and the main driver is money (that we can't afford), then sell.
Really hope that Jimenez dont have a buy back clause, the boy has lots of potential.
On Theo...Nefremo said all. And Theo needs to be at the same salary like Leao.
