Serie A
If we want him (or anyone else who's available at the moment), just sack Pioli now and let him get used to players and stuff till next season.

Sarri is bad, his behaviour and ideals are bad for the club and he failed in Lazio. It is difficult to choose from Pioli and current Sarri.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

Sarri is not bad. He have a clear and good philosphy that likely would work if he got players for it. He lack those players in Lazio, in fact Lazio have been bad in the transfer market and not given him the players he want at all. I mean how many new players have you seen break into the Lazio 11? He basically have the same players as Inzaghi did for playing a 3-5-2, but Sarri use a 4-3-3 with no new players to fit into his formation. So now that Immobile stopped scoring Lazio is suffering badly with their weak defense and midfield.

No guarantee that Sarri will be a success with us though, but I rate his chances much higher than with Lazio.

No SMS, no Lazio. They lost their most crucial player and didn't replaced him.

I just read that Juventus quietly secured the CWC ticket. Along with that is the guaranteed 50M+ revenue.

Looks like this season's Champions League mishap is costing us big. Juventus must be laughing really hard right now. To think they weren't even in the CL this season to begin.

Yes, based on 4 year UEFA club rank. They're 5 points ahead of Napoli and 6 points ahead of us. Even if we win EL we can't overrun them.
One spot left, it will belong either to Ajax or Salzburg. Both clubs are below us on that list, but since limit is two clubs from same country, Italy spots goes to Inter and Juventus.
On the other hand, it's played from june15th to july15th, so it's no rest between seasons. Do we really need that?

The CWC is going to be a joke. A money maker, sure. But I don't see how any fan base is going to care so much about this. To me it seems like glorified friendly games, played in USA of all places.

Can you clarify: Are EL points included at all? Or, did you mean that EL points would be included, but even winning it wouldn't bring 6 additional points? I am too lazy to check. Big Grin

I saw a video of FIFA president welcoming Juventus into the CWC, so I suppose that has to be official.

Ajax or Salzburg? Interesting. The two-club per-association quota is interesting, but then again, EPL has many more teams with higher quality, so Milan wouldn't deserve to go one way or another.

You said it.  Icon_lol2
The two reasons why I have been hoping for Milan's qualification into this event: 1. 50M isn't a small amount; 2. it will be played in USA. Otherwise, you are completely right. It is probably a joke. Big Grin

Speaking of which, the top 2 teams in Serie A would get into the SuperCoppa Italia next season. I know that the money has been significantly improved compared to two seasons ago, now with Saudi Arabia's money.

Money, money, money.... Big Grin

EL points are included, but we can't harvest 6+ points even if we win all 5 remaining games (you get some points for each win or draw, it is not only important how far you go into competition, but also how you get there. So, despite we secured next round, winning away games at Rennes is also very important Big Grin ).
Only five teams above us on list, which missed it due to country cap (Liverpool, Barcelona, Leipzig, Napoli and Sevilla).

Thanks for the information.

Barcelona still has a chance though; if they win the UCL this season, they are automatically in. I guess it is between them and Atletico. Neither team I like, but better Atletico than Barcelona for me.
