Highlights of Italy u21. Tonali 3 assists

[Bennacer]

Really good performance from Tonali. Is he going to explode this year?

[Zio Fester]

Italy are laughably bad v Northern Ireland. Very average group of players that got lucky at the Euros.

Will have to rely on play offs to get through to the WC

0:3 at Finalissima. Didn't bother to watch the game, but not surprised at the result.

Then watched the highlights. The gap between Italy and Argentina was frightening. No wonder Mancini gave up even before the game and made it the farewell for Chiellini. At least he has an excuse. If he saw any hope, I bet that he would put up a fight.

16 players got playing time. Not one single Milan player. In fact, the only one that even made to the bench was Florenzi.

Expected lineup has Acerbi and Spinazzola in it. What the F?? Haha
Acerbi jas been dismal this year. Slow as a snail and sloppy as hell. He had his 2-3 years of great form under Inzaghi...mind you, it was all in a back 3.....but he's a shadow of that player now. Should not be called up, let alone start games. Mancini keeps complaining about everything and anything. But he's too stubborn and doesn't have the balls to try new things. All changes he's made are forced ones.
And Spinazzola? Come on now. He's a good player and all...but he was just out for almost a year. He has, what? 1 game under his belt since he's been back?

Mancini needs to gtfo of his own way. If he can. Or if not, they need to get him out and fire his ass.

[Demonbanana]

Yeah, Mancini is a fool with some of his decisions, Acerbi, Spinozzola, Cristiante , Luiz Felipe and Politano have no business been in the NT.
But also it might indicate a dearth of options in Italy!

He did however debut a kid I'd love to see at Milan : Matteo Cancellieri and Pobega made his debut now.

[Beppe]

I can understand him playing spinnazzola, he’s a key player for his team.
Anyone saw Gnonto playing? Only saw some highlights. Strange player, on paper aged 18 but he looks like 36

[Sampinjon]

High five, ratboi...

[xudong]

Just saw the highlights. That was disheartening to watch even for someone who used to support Azzurri (since 1990 WC) but not anymore.

That fifth goal was pure gold to watch though.

[Sampinjon]

England also got nicely destroyed by Hungary
