Well actually, the reports say that Berlusconi stopped the negotiations with Tevez because he only approved the sale of Pato and nothing else. The fact that Pato doesn't move stops everything anyway.

Its nothing..In Milan the only one that approves and stops is Galliani. Berlusconi wants only attention now and then..nothing more. Galliani is very smart, and knows how to use Berlusconi when he feels he needs him.
To me this seems very well planned. Morrati pulled out of the race today. Now its between Milan ans City and Tevez who now is on our side. Only dear mr. Leonardo can spoil it. which I believe he will never do.

Pato could have told Milan in Dec that he wants to stay.
Scenario 1: the club assumed Pato wanted to go and asked him to reach agreement with PSG in last minute, he turned it down.
Scenario 2: Pato verbally agreed to move initially, but a Barbara chimed in impromptu like "wait, so you guys have been serious about this? I never believed it."
Scenario 3: knowing Milan and Tevez are all set, and pulling off will be humiliating to Milan, PSG lowered their initial commitment like "35m in cash? No. We mean 28m plus 7m if we win Ligue 1 or CL next season." Galliani got so pissed and rang Berlusconi "Time to let your daughter talk."
Scenaro 4: Pato a la Kaka "I don't want PSG but I'll bite my tongue until you wanna sell me there, so that I know I'm not part of the plan. I then let my agent to knock the door of a place I accept."
ATM I'd vote for number 4, only that I never understand since Kaka's saga, why Galliani can't ask Pato "Do you want PSG? If so we are ready to bid for Tevez"

Every day I kept my eyes on it, and nothing really happened. Then I was away for less than a day, it seems that everything is unfolding like crazy.
It does remind me of Kaka saga. Pato is obviously not ready to move, and it is also clear that he already realizes that he is no longer untouchable. Two possible scenarios in June: (1) he will be ready to move, and he will move; and Milan will probably be forced to get a lower transfer fee - just like what happened to Kaka; (2) he will probably feel ashamed and motivated, and will want to work harder and actually play to his potential and live up to expectation. But for Scenario #2 to happen, the coming few months is the key. If he still wouldn't be used by Allegri after he worked hard (or he think that he worked hard), then I can only see him out of the team. Honestly, I feel that the first scenario is more likely, seeing that Allegri is a man of his own. Of course Allegri will give Pato more chances (but only slightly more), and it really does depend on Pato himself. We will have to wait and find out.
One last question: is it for sure now that we won't get Tevez and Pato won't leave? I thought the deadline is January 31. I am not necessarily for or against either move here. I am just curious.
