Watching Juventus vs Venezia now and Juventus looks so bad. Such a slow, sterile football. Makes you fall asleep. It's no wonder Italian football has struggled in the CL. If this is the best Serie A had to offer in the last several years, than the struggles are not surprising at all (Juventus has been by large the best Italian team the last several years). And yes, this Juventus is worse than the one of the past 3-4 years, but regardless, they still play that same style, which simply doesn't work in Europe.

Honestly, Milan's games are at least exciting. Fast paced. Direct and with high tempo. We need to bring that to the European stage, and I'm sure we will after this year's "debut" in the CL. But Milan IS, as Sacchi said, the only Italian club that plays at a top European and modern tempo. Atalanta is another, but they don't have the quality and sell off their best players every year. So naturally, they can't compete for a prolonged period of time and we are now seeing those constant ins-outs of their squad bite them in the ass and inveitably their decline has started.

Inter has made strides, but their financial difficulties meant a status quo and instead of improving, they've stagnated/declined since last season.

And I gotta say and give credit where credit is due, I thought Roma was going to implode after Mourinho's early season media handling and bashing of his own team....but he's turned it around and has made Roma a solid team. They can't compete at the very top amd we can see that from their results vs top 4 teams, but they are now a steady team and constantly get results against mid/low table teams. In typical Mourinho fashion, there is nothing exciting about the way they play or what they do, but they are effective. I'd be interested to see what their investment will be like this summer. I was really hoping Juventus would.miss iut on the CL and would be replaced by Roma, but the assholes will somehow sneak in again.

I think Roma will get to top 4 next year in expense of Inter. Juve are too Italian to be without CL ticket. Napoli are stable at the top while Inter are weakening themselves.

Inter is a disguisting team. Honestly, nothing to do with beung a rival. This was started by Conte, carried on by Marotta and now Inzaghi. They've created an attitude of hostility. They SWARM the referee for every single decision. Asking for cards, asking for PKs, constantly putting pressure on the referee. It starts with the coach, it is than either accepted or rejected by management (in their case their management is all for it and does the same in the media) and finally it ends with the players on the field. Some decent guys like Perisic, Gagliardini, Dzeko, Bastoni, Handanovic...that NEVER act like this with their national teams or with ither teams they've been on...turn into absolute niggtmares when they put that shirt on and see their shitbag for coach running up and down the sideline complaining abiut every single call.

It's so embarrassing. It's sad. They swarmed the referee for a "handball" in the box when there wasn't one. They than scored frok the resulting corner kick. And honestly, their PK? I didn't see a SINGLE angle showing clear contact FROM the Udinese player. Yes, there may have been contact, but it was initiated AND exaggerated by Dzeko. Who than refused to stand up and play until it was looked over by VAR. And spealing of VAR, it's only supposed to interject fir CLEAR AND OBVIOUS errors. This is what we've been told time and time again. Yet, from all angles, it was impossible to tepp IF there was contact and WHO initiated the contact. If anything, the replays showed Dzeko dragging his foot and than FLOPPING to exaggerate swhat happened. NOTHING was clear and obvious there so the call on the field (no foul) should have stayed.

This is sad. And Inter's behavious is disguisting. If I was their fan, I would be embarrassed if this now.

Inter are desperated.

This season could be the last one they possess the strongest squad in the league.

As long as I can remember, they didn't win shit without being the strongest, and even lost multiple times while having best players.

And Hakan is the most desperated among them. I don't hate him, I even pity him for being unsmart, who in the right mind to say bad about the most former employer. Who can be angry with Cassano when he said: Milan is in the sky, Inter is over the sky. Still cute.
