Genoa currently sits 15th in the Serie A table with only 9 points after 12 matches for them. They are on a poor run of form and that is why the club board will be sacking headcoach Davide Ballardini.

According to the latest news by Sky Sport Italia, the owners of the club are pushing to sign former AC Milan legendary striker who was a coach of Ukraine’s national team: Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukranian is close to agreeing a deal with the struggling Serie A club. According to the same source, he could sign a two-year contract or even sign a long-term contract in order to work on a clear important project.

I thought that's weird too. Just can't see him and Genoa together.

It is now official Sheva is new Genoa coach.
Week 15 (December 1) it is Milan @ Genoa. Will be very odd to see for me.
