Milan have reached an agreement with Monaco over the signing of Pietro Pellegri, as per several credible sources. The youngster will be the third-choice striker for the Rossoneri, heading into the upcoming season.

The basis of the deal is a €1m loan with an option to buy at €6m, which would become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

There will also be a % of a future resale in favour of the French side, who just need to give their go-ahead as Milan have sent over the figures they agreed on.

This mercato has not really improved the squad in any aspect other than depth. We need one or two real quality additions or this is just a huge step sideways and possibly backwards because we'll need some luck to qualify for CL.

As much as I would love a right winger, the kind we want is probably different than what we would purchase. That position has so much defensive responsibility because the way we shift left with Theos run. That is why Saele and possibly Florenzi fit there.

You want to know how bad Leao and Rebic are at CF? We bought a 20 y/o who spends more time injured than not.

I’m curious how that last attacking midfield Role gets filled. No way Diaz can be relied on bringing up the ball from the defense or unlocking counters let alone tracking back to provide competent defending. He is to unlock defenses in the final third.

I hope the obligation is Pellegri plays 25 game's or something linked to him, not us reaching CL.

A lot of our issues last season WAS depth.  We had no proper  backup for Theo and Calabria. Dalot was so crap he may as not of been out there 99% of the time.
No Ibra back etc.

So providing depth IS important considering we will be on  3 fronts this year.

So Florenzi, Baka and Pellegri are in (or just about)think we finish with Vlasic and someone who was not on the radar like Rebic wasn't at the time.

Pellegri could be a wild card type signing, considering the finances situation a good signing.

So we're replacing an unfit player with an even more decrepit one. Mandzukic only played a total 200 mins in serie A in six months. I doubt Pellegri will reach that in a full season.

When he scored that goal against Juventus, it must be burning pain deep inside him then. He did such a good job hiding it.

I think we are the best team in serie A if we don't have injuries so having depth is the most important aspect if we want to continue doing well.
