If the club doesn't have enough homegrown players, they will be allowed a smaller squad. 

We have Calabria, Colombo, Pobega, Maldini for now as club trained. Association trained shouldn't be hard to meet.

If Saele is the first choice RW next season is going to be a real struggle. Does not score many goals or provide enough assists. Cannot have a team that only attacks from the left wing.

There are Gabbia and Plizzari also. I expect Calabria and Gabbia will be included in the senior squad this season. Then, we need another 2 out of 4. One of them should be Plizzari. I think Maldini might get the last spot, just because I can see Pobega being sold to record some capital gain for the club, unfortunately.

Yes, I knew that I must be forgetting someone. Thank you. Gabbia should definitely get a spot. I suspect that Plizzari get the 3rd GK spot, unless a quality offer arrives, then I am sure that someone else from the primavera will be promoted (still fulfilling the hometown requirement).

I also suspect that we will have Ibrahimovic, Giroud, and Colombo/Maldini if we play with one CF. Then, go for Belotti (or someone younger and better) to replace Ibrahimovic next summer.

Isco plays with the ball at his feet. Short passes, neat, keeps things connected. Very typical Spanish style attacking mid. This part has not changed. He can still do this very well and does when he gets on the field for Real. His problem there is that the exact same things he does in the opposing 3rd, is already done by Modric and Kroos right at midfield. So Real lacks "runners" in the middle and in their search for that "different style" midfielder, it's been Isco and the likes that have lost out on game time.

I think he can be very good here. Technically superior to Hakan, but very short range style and as I said, wants everything to his feet. Getting Isco is not a problem if we get players around him (wings, FBs, CF, another mid) that will stretch and run channels, attack spaces behind the lines, etc.

Isco is a talented talented player, but I don't know if Pioli would want someone like him. Pioli wants a guy who can defend and run his butt off for his CAM role. That's why he loved Hakan so much. Isco is a very technical player but he is not going to run around the field making interceptions, he simply doesn't have the lungs and legs to do that. Signing a guy like him or James would mean Pioli has to change our playing style.
