Summer mercato 2021
More reports continue to surface suggesting that AC Milan are ready to go in for Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig.

La Repubblica (via MilanLive) have perhaps gone the strongest yet with their story, claiming that Sabitzer is viewed by Milan as the ideal attacking midfielder and the most suitable to strengthen the Milan squad out of all the targets.

Would be a good signing, plenty of upsides.
I merged the Euro 2020 posts to the Euro 2020 thread http://www.milanmania.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1558

It was good scouting and an excellent deal. Sucks we don't use him as much...but clubs like Benfica, Porto, Leipzig, Dortmund do this all the time and make a crap ton of money. I've seen a ton of people praise them for that. So why is it wrong when Milan does it?

For the record, I don't want Hauge sold. I'd rather see Krunic and Samu go first. But there is no way the scoiting on Hauge was bad or that signing him was a bad deal. On the contrary, like I said....we got something out of him on the field, and now we can get at least double what we paid not even a year later.

Agreed. It's a shame it didn;'t work out but we've made money off the deal. we actually need to do more of these sorts of deals. If we can make some money every year on deals like this then that will help us keep investing in the right players.

Insigne with out a doubt is a much better player than James, Tadic & Isco as we speak. They've all had different primes but Insigne is consistently good & after watching Italy this Euro I would really love to see this team with a stronger Italian back bone. There is a massive crop of Italian talent right now that we should take advantage of. If we bought Barella and kept Locatelli I would've honestly preferred them two over Bennacer-Kessie. Anyhow, no going back but we should look forward at options in Serie A before we look elsewhere.

I also think we're entering an era where English players are not just over-rated rugby players anymore. These youths they have in their team are real talent & quality. If we want some good investments buy some young no name English players, if they become half decent we can sell them back to EPL for 100m and fund an entire transfer campaign lol

Look. I would absolutely Looooooooooove Insigne but I just don't see it happening. Also... we're talking about having 3 LW and this would make it 4. Unless Hauge AND Leao are being sold soon then I can't see us in the mix at all.

Really hoping this is true. Sabitzer is a great player so we'll see how this pans out.
Donnarumma what a goalie man. Can't believe he's gone for free the basta*d
Donna is always going to be the golden opportunity that got away for us, unfortunately. He is a special talent and we might not see another one like him for many many years. Best we can hope for is for Maignan to be a beast and we won't have to suffer any major set back in performance.
Looks like we might lose out on Sabitzer. Borussia Dortmund want him and his teammate Halstenberg in a double deal.
Just read that we are close to securing young Paraguayan talent Hugo Cuenca.

I had to laugh so much. He does almost nothing right or good in it... Icon_lol2

If Pioli had his way he'd have a front three of Belotti, Berardi & Bernadeschi

Mediocre coach infatuated with mediocre players

“Players that know the tactic”, “Familiar with Italian league”, “Fit our style” and other bull phrases to justify poor choices.
I’m with you on this.
