Serie A
So Benevento tied...which means Cagliari is officially safe. Of course, doesn't mean they'll just lay down for us...but it deffinitely takes the sting out for them.

For Benevento...a sad day for Pippo. But it's not all over. If Torino looses their makeup game vs Lazio, then the last matchday between Torino and Benevento would be a true relegation playoff, especially as the 1st game ended in a 2-2 tie.
I also saw om football-italia that Benevento has only won 1 in the last 21 (against Juventus).

I would be rooting for Benevento (Pippo actually) and hope that Lazio will give them a fighting chance by beating Torino. That would be a great game to watch.

I also hope Torino will go down so that we will have more power negotiating for Belotti.

In the meantime I am happy that Cagliari is safe. That should take some pressure off.

That is rough. I saw that Immobile missed a penalty at 84'. WTF.

Lazio also hit the post in the 94th. Can't say they didn't really give it a go. It just wasn't meant to be. Torino got really lucky. I feel bad for Pippo. Benevento came to Serie A as the "best Serie B team ever" (based on points achieved in a single season). They did well in the beginning, but you can't win only 1 game in the last 21 and expect to stay up. In many cases, a managerial change will have been made much sooner (not that I agree)...but Pippo was given the benefit of the doubt and allowed to finish the season. But as much as we love him, it's fair to say he failed at Benevento.

This sounds very familiar

Quote:"It’s reported €35m will initially be handed over to Inter, then the rest in several instalments.
If Suning do not keep up loan repayments, then Oaktree Capital can essentially repossess their 68.5 per cent of the club."

I don't really feel bad for Napoli (it is my hate towards Jube that's even stronger), but I feel really sorry for Gattuso. Him and Bakayoko once again were one point away from CL qualification.

I just looked at the table again. Napoli got 77 points out of 38 games, that's more than 2 points per match; in some years in some countries, that would be enough to win the league, let alone top 4. Facepalm

I feel sorry for Rino too. Just like our draw with Cagliari, they lost vital points at home against weaker opponent.
