I really hope we can pull off a Van Bommel stay. He seems to be a commanding officer in midfield distributing the ball like a pro. Especially if Pirlo will leave for Roma, we need that kind of player.

I think the rumours about Pirlo leaving us to go to Roma or Juventus are just a way for Pirlo and his agent to get a new big contract, the last one, in Milan ...

Criscito should sign to Zenith sooner or later ... I really think Spalletti doesn't help Italy by trying to get young Italian players in his club (because when he'll leave the club, it's not sure the players will be allowed to leave no will find a club in Italy again given their price). After Bocchetti, it's now the turn of Criscito. Two players we were (Bocchetti)/are (Criscito) linked with.
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

I wouldn't be surprised to see Carlo in Roma next season, and Pirlo being one the players announced along side him.
if carlo coaches roma (which has been his dream), there will be some interesting transfers on the market this summer.

I don't think there's much to the Pirlo rumours at all. Ambrosini, Nesta etc. haven't signed new contracts yet either, so Galliani clearly hasn't negotiated them yet. It's just that Pirlo probably holds most value out of our expirering players.

Why ?
Roma has no money right now, and there is nothing allowing people to predict big purchases by the next Roma owners ...

And Montella just arrived, he is a "bandiera" in Roma, if he does well, he will stay after the end of this season IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ancelotti confirmed for one more (and last ?) season in Chelsea despite the bad results.

Of course, in a near future, Ancelotti and Roma are done to be together (Chelsea starting to struggle under Ancelotti, Roma being in crisis) ...

Galliani will probably give to some of them a one or two year extension but with lower wages, that would be logical ... So these rumours about Pirlo can be seen as a way to get at least the same salary on his next contract, if not more.

A bit like Ganso has done in Santos, it seems all these quotes of Ganso speaking about Inter and Leonardo were to scare the Santos management and force them to give him the same contract as Neymar.

Montella is not a Bandiera? he played for many clubs not just Roma. anyway if there American takeover comes true they will have alot of money to spend.

I agree with you on Van Bommel. I think a short 2 year contract. If he wants something long or $$$$ cyaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

It's too long, let's give him a one year contract, and if he does well, why not another year then (the last one regarding his age) ... But giving him a two year contract right now would be a mistake IMO. He's at the end of his career, we should put him some pressure: "perform well or no new contract" ...

Like mentioned, I think the only way Carlo goes to Roma is the new owners. He might not spend huge but he will take a few players he knows

I thought the potential new owner is supposed to be really rich?? Huh Also, Carlo Ancelotti has a lot of faithful followers, so I am sure that some might follow him there. Since Pirlo is free, I don't see why it can't be true that he may reunite at Roma. Don't we have Fossati as his natural replacement? Devilol
