Liverani is a such a d*ck that despite having such a good transfer window and having array of young talent bought this summer he still useless old and average players like Iacopani and Brugman even on matchday 5. I was getting too much hype on Parma.

They know it's not sustainable. They are actually being responsible with their money. Can't blame them for that. Long term wise, CL money is considered "variable (and volatile)" income. So for you to go and sign "bigger/better" players you have to re-invest that variable income AND add "fixed" expenses such as big salaries. The moment you miss out on CL, you are screwed because your revenue is now gone, yet your expenses are still there. Yes, all revenue is volatile...but for football clubs where the CL represents probably 3/4 of your revenue such as Atalanta....this could be a big problem if you are not responsible.

CL football is not a given even to big clubs, of course. But at least big clubs have big sponsorship deals, etc...therefore they would be still fine if they missed out on CL for a year or two. Atalanta doesn't have that luxury.

Responsible doesn't mean that you buy some useless second and third divison shits like Mojica and Muratore. They earned some 25M for Castagne, their back-up RB and didn't even spend one-fourth the money on a decent RWB/RB. They earn ridiculous amount of money by selling their loan players. They have bought Muratore from Rube U23 for 7M to be paid in 4 installment  That's some ridicously shameless stuff

It is not that they have sky-rocketing wages to be paid tbh they have 13th highest wage bill near about 32M!!! Even non-European Italian sides are able to pay the salaries without even competing for Europe.

and if that mojica muratore turn into good players in 2 years, would you stlll say the same thing about their transfer strategy? have you seen atalanta dish out big amount of money for talents? btw, we are ac milan forum, why talking about atalanta, maybe you could rant it on atalanta forum, and for atalanta doing this year in year out and still making it to the top, i think they did the right thing, and you need to remember, milan will choose this kind of route in the future. we will spend little and sell big that is how you make profits in football
