As a football fan.. that is by far the worse Argentina in a world cup game i ever watched in my life of 33 years.. in a team that has Aguero, Higuain, Dybala, Di Maria and Messi.. its utterly confusing to see why the coach wont take a risk and start with 2 forwards when his system wont even work again iceland that didnt even play to win.. wtf was i watching? When Messi gets shut out of a game, they are still trying to force the ball to him instead of playing around the other big names who also made no attempts to show up..

They should have just played 9 defenders and 1 attack if that was the plan.. atleast you dont get crushed and might get a draw if Messi doesnt score a ridiculous 1v10 dribble goals like he did in his younger days.. the team was shit.. the coach is shit.. good lord it was like watching my secondary school team 16 years ago lol

I think I'm with SkyEdge, this probably is the worst Argentina side I think I can remember in a World Cup. I wasn't expecting much from them, but I expected more going forward from them given the talent they have. Instead, they're totally one dimensional and simply give the ball to Messi and hope he can do something. Only problem is every team is hounding Messi anytime he's near the ball and with him always being central there's no space for him to do anything. Awful defence, no gameplan and oddly no quality. What a mess.

Croatia have got my interest though. They're not a young side and have faults of their own, but right now they've looked one of the best sides in the competition.

Lol.. the gameplan was to force the ball to Messi no matter what kind of situation he is in.. hope he pulls a rabbit out of his ass somehow and pounce on a rebound if there is a chance.. no one wanted to be in possession of the ball or no one seemed interested to try to stepup and ask for the ball more to redirect focus.. despite their performance.. i wont have started with salvio or acuna.. i would have preferred Higuain-Aguero upfront (higuain target man) messi in a free role just behind.. dybala and di maria on the sides.. 

Any one of those stepping up or a moment of magic could have opened up croatia.. instead of solely passing the ball to messi no matter what.. higuain and aguero works hard from the front too.. not slackers.. not much of a difference of the 5defence 5offence we saw.. but atleast with players who could chsnge the game at a moments notice..

Brazil against Costa Rica turned out to be far more tense than I expected. I knew Costa Rica would make it tough to break them down, but Brazil were struggling

Brasil vs Costa Rica was such an annoying game. Too many petty fouls and theatrics for my liking.

The ref deserved special mention for overturning his penalty decision after consulting with VAR. At some point he also seemed sick of Neymar's whining and gave the Brasilian a piece of his mind.
