On another note, what is allegri thinking having only 4 attackers on our euro squad? We have 8 mfs and TEN defenders. Now inzaghi's pissed and the rumor is he'll be out come january. Why did we re-sign him if we didn't plan on at least including him in our 25 man squad? He could have gone somewhere else and we could have kept paloschi on our squad.

Certainly this situation shows a disconnect between galliani and allegri...

It's worth considering that some of the players listed do have injuries. Van Bommel, Taiwo, Mexes etc. and so if they do not recover well then it's good to have alternative options. Pippo is also apparently not in the best shape.

I think you didn't get the point. If it was about replacing Inzaghi, we wouldn't have send Paloschi on loan. Inzaghi is a legend, and he's only 3 goals away from being the European All Time Top Goalscorer. He is THE Champions League man!

Paloschi was sent out on loan to get some in game experience so that he can continue to mature as a player. A player can't really develop by sitting on the bench each and every week. This is especially true for Paloschi, who has seen limited actions the last couple of years due to his injuries.

I agree that we should have included Inzaghi in the CL list because we don't really need that many defenders and the man does deliver us goals. But the truth of matter is, I am sick and tired of players like him, who can't really be counted on for production any more, complain and moan about not having a larger role on the team. Pirlo did it, Seedorf did it, Gattuso did it, and now Inzaghi is doing it. Milan is about more than a team that was built to let Inzaghi get that CL scoring record. We are a team that is trying to win the title. If Inzaghi can't handle the fact that he is nothing more than a fringe player on this team, then take a hike and don't look back.

As far as that CL scoring record is concerned, we need to face realities. Raul is over four years younger than Inzaghi and in much much better physical form. Even if Inzaghi breaks the record this year, Raul will in all likelyhood take that record back next year. That record is not for Inzaghi to keep so lets not act like we are destroying Inzaghi's chance at history here.

There are two things, his fitness and home grown quotas. First one of course makes a difference, second one I would prefer to drop someone like Bonera. If it's not about these two issues then it is wrong to exclude him.

In the Champion's League we shouldn't underestimate anyone. We have Barca to worry about, so if we drop points against one of this small teams, we are seriously screwed.
