There goes the Cesc saga.
I am sure Galli will come and say that they tried for Cesc but Arsenal was asking too much......the truth was Arsenal did not even talk to Galli bc Galli called collect.

I honestly believe the story went like this - Galliani didn't do anything until late August, hoping that Barca's talks with Arsenal collapse just like last year.

After that, he would offer Arsenal 40m over 4 years or something, and offer Cesc a starting role and a chance to go to Barca if he didn't like it at Milan...

Reading the press, that's exactly how it all looked.

16 days to go, if we are so poor that we can't even buy Aquilani then might as well fast track the youth and stop with the silly co-ownerships starting from now. If we are buying no one Merkel is exactly what we need...

What we needed was about 2 players a year in 07 same in 08 same in 09 1 in 10 and 1 this year , all good-great didnt happen.Now we have ourselves convinced that a Cesc or Pastore is what we need , what we still need is to get rid of everyone over 30 except Nesta and Abbiatti.everyone of them , Zambro Ambro Rino Pippo Oddo Seedorf V.Bommel all need to go , and all need to be replaced.Nothing is going to change that fact.

Yes but financial troubles couldn't just start in one day - with or without the court case - remember this was an appeals court actually reduced the fine. Almost certain there wasn't much chance of reducing the fine to zero.

My point is he isn't really poorer in August than he was in May so should have kept Merkel to play mid this year too.
