Although I disagree with Sergio being better than De Rossi, but if I have to put the best 11 out there between Italy and Spain, I think only Chellini will be selected. I would put Xabi at the DM role, with Cesc and Xavi on both sides, push Iniesta up to play along side Villa and Silva.

So, it seems that the loan deal of Paloschi is a pure loan with option to buy HALF of his contract next season, not option to buy full of his contract. I was surprised after reading news yesterday that Milan let Genoa having an option of buying Paloschi next year. He is not skillful player but his instinct at scoring is unbelievable. He might not be our first choice for striker when he comes again to finally play for Milan but he still has the quality to be in the Milan as squad rotation. What he lacks now is games IMO especially knowing that he had been injured regularly in the last couple of years.

Italy from 2005-2006 were incredibly strong. They had not lost, and in the World Cup they dominated from back to front, as the 2 goals they let in were a phantom (fake) penalty, and an own goal where Zaccardo actually kicked it 180 degrees differently from where he intended to. Italy's defense and midfield were like sworming bees and were all in their prime of their careers.
Spain has developed a decade of good players and more importantly a technique so superior to the rest of the world that they seem to dominate world football. Also, the success of Barcelona and their unique style has had a direct influence on Spain as they play almost identically and have most of Barcelona in their starting 11.
Don't be fooled though, there will be a team to come along who will beat Barcelona & Spain, as these players grow older, and a new generation of maybe Brazilians, Argentines, Germans, maybe even Asians or Africans will grow a new football that overpowers them. There seem to be cycles and Spain is enjoying one of the finest ever seen.

In terms of the Mercato, Barbara Berlusconi finally admitted she is in "love" with Pato. She also said that while she recently fell in love, he is not unsellable and every player has a price.
Fabregas seems destined to go to Barcelona as Xavi has made comments almost every day saying they're waiting for him. This seems to leave us with no Fabregas, No Hamsik, No Pastore. Even Ganso will probably (if he comes) come in January when he is no help. We need a player from the start of the season to gel with our offense, and even with an ACM, we're still short a LCM. I really do think that there was a plan for maybe 2 mids , but the fine put the brakes on any deals.Now they are scrambling for Aqua or Monty maybe Kaka at a cut price.There is no way if no midfield signings were planned that Pirlo would of walked regardless of wages and age.

It should have been a straight swap:
They should have Released Pirlo & Seedorf, & Bought 2 Midfielders (Ganso + 1)
I think they're on the verge of really messing up this market bad. Being cheap has its limits. They could have still had more than enough experience in the team with Ambrosini, Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Abbiati, Inzaghi.
I think brazil can overcome spain they have the players they just need the correct tactics and time to master it
What happened to the whole Montolivo situation? It's just a few more weeks before the new season starts. Hopefully Ganso arrives in January though, after the Club World Cup.

Wow athletico picked up a great talent if reports are correct.. His name is turan, from galatasary.. He's a great talent very skillfull fast and amazing close control, his prefered position is ss or winger both sides, watch out for this guy i follow galatasary as much as i can as my dad was born in istanbul, raised by german father and an italian mother..Turan is turkish, if we played with wingers man the options we would have in the mercato..
If i know things like this, how doesn't braida&co. realize? Turkish players are making there way up, tons of turkish football players are starting to develop in germany because of good youth systems and bigger chance to be seen, i hope we eventually take attention to this instead of always looking in brazil or @ already big names

Nah if that was the case we wouldve signed some cheap mids with good future potential like Witsel or Kucka...

Im thinking Fabregas!!! I swear he was so close to signing for us a few years ago that goal.com put an article saying official:fabregas to ac milan then it was gone in the next few hours.. It couldn't have been just rumours for a certified author on goal to have published that.. and besides that maybe its why barca players are talking so desperately about his potential transfer to barca, because they might know hes on his way to milan.. We can never quite predict wtf is going on with galli and berlu, but all i know is that it will be a big player.. he said it would be a champion, we had this mr x crap last year too, it ended up being ibra, then robinho came afterwards.. I see Fabregas or kaka coming and someone like drogba or aqua/monty/ganso coming in soon after or before
