Gazzetta reports there was a meeting yesterday between Milan and Inter to discuss the future of San Siro.

Barbara Berlusconi says Milan owning their own stadium is a “key step” and admits differences of opinion with Adriano Galliani.

The Rossoneri had planned to build their own stadium in the Portello area of the city, but President Silvio Berlusconi then declared that they would stay at San Siro.

“We’re modernising with Inter for the [Champions League] final,” joint-CEO Berlusconi explained when asked about the stadium after today’s ‘Derby for Peace’ Press conference.

“The objective is still ownership, not just four walls, but a single management structure and revenue stream.

“We’re carrying out projects for June. At the moment, together with Inter we’ll be carrying out improvements in the next month.

“If these actions lead to new revenue, then we’ll carry out other work. The key step for a club like ours is a stadium we own, with one management.

“If that’s not possible, we’ll move forward with Inter and the council to make San Siro even more of a first-class stadium.”

Barbara Berlusconi and Galliani share the role of Milan CEO, and the President’s daughter admits they don’t always agree.

“Galliani and I imagine the future of football in different ways, but there’s never been a time when we haven’t co-operated.

“We have different views, ages, and we’re striving for different goals, but now more than ever collaboration is important.

“We’re going for the Europa League this year, but next year we have to return to the Champions League.

“This year we haven’t reached our objectives, we’re targeting the Europa League and I hope my father and Galliani can put Milan back where we belong.”

For the moment it seems so. Really, based on everything that's being said, it sounds like stadium ownership isn't a huge priority for Silvio right now.

when will these guys just go... They're not doing anything good for the club just like they have for the last few years. Let Barbara take over Silvio, and send Galliani packing and bring in Maldini...

The latest is that we're waiting for municipal elections.

Then, we will ask for co-ownership with Inter.

wouldn't work... capacity is too high, no point leaving to go play in a stadium that will look empty...
