Can't play Napoli but Dortmond is a possiblity. Honestly, even if Mlan draw Barca, City and Dortmond and get KO in the group stage. They won't change one bit, as they will say it was a group of death...Played against better teams...thten they must sell Pato or Silva in the summer due to getting eir ass wipe early in CL..... What will be interesting is actually having a weak group on paper like drawing Porto, Ajax and an unknown team, then losing and getting out run by them. If ghat happened I would love to see what Gallo and Berlu say.
Arsenal also want Kaka on loan, but Real only agree to sell for 17.5M pounds.
aite now i just didnt want to post anything here until the mercato was closed coz i wanted to feel optimistic about our mercato and was hoping against hope that we would get some great players for our midfield.We were linked with loads of players initially and the quality of the players we were being linked with was on the downside with each passing day (Fab/Pastore/Hamsik/Ganso)---(Asamoah/Witsel/Vidal)----(Montolivo/Aquilani). And now i think we are done and we have signed our last player for the season in Aquilani. Our transfer window has not been the greatest in tthe last few years n each passing season we would hope for it to get better but its just gotten worse except last year(Ibra & R70). It probably would have been better this year n maybe the huge fine on Finnivest could have proved to be the turning point in our mercato. We were linked to so many great names but unfortunately they all turned out to be rumours. Disappointed with the mgmt. for the manner in which it has handled the mercato over the past few seasons. Next one is going to be even worse when we have like 5-6 expiring contracts and i am not sure as to how Milan s going to fill those gaps. All said i anxiously waiting for the CL draw and our realistic target this season would be defending our title and winning the Coppa Italia.

Everyone creates their own luck.
Kind of bored, so these are some facts.
For the past 10 yrs of CL, only 4 teams outside of the top 4 leagues in Europe made it to the semi-finals. While only two teams from that group of 4 made it to the Finals, and only Porto managed to be the only team outside of the top 4 leagues to win the CL. That actually all happened in the same yr, another word, only 2 teams outside of the top 4 leagues made it to the semi over the past 10 yrs of CL football. The break down, German 3 teams, IT 7 teams, Spain 11 teams, while EPL got 15 teams.
In the Finals, if you take away the 04 finals with Porto and Monaco. Of the 18 remaining teams, German teams made it 2 times, IT teams 5 times, EPL teams 7 times, while Spanish teams 4 times.
For teams who made it into the semi and finals multiple times, Barca is the team to beat at the moment as they only missed one semi final appearance since 06 and never lost in the Finals going 3 for 3. Well, ManU is second and has been making into the Semi since 07 except for 2010 but holds the worse Finals record for going 1 for 3.
The point of this post is that Platini and others kept hoping teams will get a chance for even playing field, introducing FFP...or even the 6+5......but at the end of the day, I really don't see how teams from lesser leagues can break the hold of the top 4 European Leagues. Since only 10% of semi finalists from the past 10 yrs are from outside top leagues while also 10% made it to the finals and winning the final(but that all happened in the same yr). Once you take out 2004, there were only 2 teams from outside of top 4 leagues made it to the semis and none made it to the finals.

There's a lot of disappointment here about our mercato, but right now I can't say I'm complaining too much. Looking at our signings, Mexes adds some depth at CB, which we lacked last season when our first 3 (Nesta, Thiago, Yepes) weren't available. Taiwo as a fullback isn't too much of a worry for me, we needed solidity at the back and in preseason so far he has been more solid than Antonini. With his physique, power, pace and left foot, we have attributes to work with to get a lot more out of him.
Then there's El Shaarawy, who is a very interesting talent and one that everyone is saying is worth keeping an eye on. He may not be a likely starter, but he should get playing time and looks likely to be a great buy for the future and an unpredictable element for this season.
Finally, we've got Aquilani, who I doubt was first choice, but is an excellent player that has had little fortune in his career with injuries. At Liverpool, he was in a poor environment which failed to use his skills and at Juve he was actually pretty successful, only to be rejected for whatever reason. Bear in mind this is also the Juve that kept guys like Marco Motta who were nothing short of disastrous last season.
In our side, Aquilani will probably get the chance to shine, as he'll have a coach who is good at getting the best out of his players in Allegri and will play in a system where he's allowed to express his game, with his range of passing and positive off the ball movement. He may not be the name we had hoped for, but I definitely see a potential in this transfer (much like Van Bommel).
As for the mercato, I don't believe it's quite over yet. Kaka is supposedly touted as Mr X but I'm not sure if he will come. That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see Parolo or Montolivo join.

It is a solid transfer campaign, period. Am I disappointed like fans around the globe, yes. But why are we disappointed in the first place? If was not the fans who came out and stated 2 Champions will arrive along with a Mr. X as present? It was not a fan who said he would like to see Ronaldo plays for Milan? Or a fan who stated, Riola has been working since Jan to sign that WC player for Milan? If there is disappointing fans, then Berlu and co is the one to blame, since they were the ones who opened their mouth. You don't see JM coming out in June and say that Real will be signing Mr. X in order to beat Barca, or SAF stating he will sign WC players to compete for next year........
Anyhow, welcome back Zlatanov, where have you been btw?
Lastly, like Dev and others, I think the transfer is not done yet. Kaka must just shows up at the end, at least thats what I am hoping for.
Inter is close to Forlan. The transfer fee is 5M and wage for the player is 3M a year.
Roma can get Kjaer for 10M.
Other clubs are also solid at transfer.
