A question for you (yes another one!), what do you make of Douglas Costa (currently at Shaktar Donetsk)?
Similarly to Dev, i think Sandro could be a good purchase for us, he has a bit of everything. A physical presence to do a screening/defensive role but the ability to do a box-to-box role. Unfortunately i think he'll stay at Spurs, unless we pay a ridiculous sum.
Regarding Douglas Costa, thats a boy full of talent. At Grêmio he had some behaviour "problems" eraly on his young career, but I think it´s nothing that serious. Thats a Brazilian player that fits better at the side of the field(a rare thing) as a false winger, mostly at the right besides to be left footed because he has a fierce shot.
Full of skills , good work rate, a great shot from outside... I really can´t understand the hype on Di Maria(talented, no doubt) and the silence on Douglas since both play the same role... 10 years ago, not only Douglas but also William would not be playing at Shanktar but in one of the big 3 leagues of Europe.
I just do not want him on Milan, because I don´t think he fit our traditional scheme, because the talent to play in a big club is there. Imo he´s born to play in a 4-3-3 of Barças or Mourinho´s Chelsea style(did you understood my point?). If I was a EPL team I did not let Douglas leave for Ukraine for that type of money...
I talked about Sandro at the same time I started to hype Giuliano here(after South America under-20), but with our style of play(Pirlo´s role), I suggested Hernanes or Arouca would fit better than Sandro there. But the guy is a beast(and so smart), that he will dominate the holder position for years. Plus, he isn´t violent and reckless as Mascherano, who I also rate high as a #5, but can´t trust him for long periods...
But at the box-to-box role, imo Arouca or Jucilei are better than Sandro. At least in my view. Still baffles me no Big or middle club of Europe made a real bid for one of them. Some people aren´t doing their jobs...
