I am fully supportive of Pato and his future here with Milan, just for the record. But I have to say that his performance has been rather disappointing. He should be happy and feel really fortunate that Ibrahimovic is no longer with Milan; otherwise, I am sure that big Swedish bastard would be switching Allegri's head off if the coach insisted giving Pato one chance after another.
I am glad that Pato is feeling alive and (more) confident, but he has to show it to others, and he has to make others (us, teammates, coach) feel confident too. I hope that the day will arrive soon.

Well we should consider he's been out for like a year can't expect him to come back an start performing at 100% after only 3 games

I am taking that into consideration, which is why I am still patient and supportive.

I went into this in the Palermo thread, but basically it's really difficult for him to comeback to full strength after so many injuries, the psychological aspect of it means he'll be constantly doubting how much to push himself. The only way to get past that is to play regularly without getting an injury. I think management were aware of that on his return, as Galliani said Pato's return is a slow process even if he's fit to play, while Allegri too said he needs to play to return to match fitness and mental sharpness. There are two worries. The first is will he get injured again? The second is can he return to being the player he was a couple of years ago.

As his huge talent is there, so if he does not get injured again, then he probably can return to his old form, even with some reasonable discount he would still be head and shoulders above many of his peers.

I think the (equally important question) to ask (from the beginning is): is he motivated enough to become one of the best, if not the best, of all time football player?
He has the potential; I'm just not sure if he has the will and motivation to do so.

I notice that about pato, he hardly runs full speed and doesn't track ball to recover the ball because of course fighting for possession causes most injuries I can see why he plays like that and it's definitely psychological effect after all his injuries

and the only way to get rid of the negative psychological effect is to score which will bring a psychological lift; of course I see a vicious cycle (or "a loop") here. with time, we could expect some good news I hope.

I agree, he needs more drive ATM, he doesn't seem lazy on the pitch but he seems scared so it makes him seem lazy. He won't chase after the ball for possesion if its near him and if he could recover a simple ball he won't even put his leg infront of the player, its hard to explain but i guess what i'm noticing is that he's very timid when he has to tussle for possesion wether he is on the ball or the opposition i guess out of fear that he'll get tackled or what not.
