I thought we could only have 6 in the starting lineup who had played for Milan at some stage in their career. I still believe you had 8. On the bench you can have as many Milan-players as you want.
All those players makes me miss the old days... Damn, how times have changed. Clone, clone, clone!

You have to love Milan so much to be this biased.
I will think about it and come up with my 11 later.
This is evil. It is not impossible to have a maximum of 6 Milan players. Whoever came up with this idea should be banned.

That's 7. Now, tell me, which one you forgot played for Milan? Ronaldo or R.Baggio?
Buffon almost came (2006), and the rumor was that he could come to Milan but Juventus got relegated which made him change his mind. Stupid (either the player or the rumor).
Totti almost came (1994, 2006).
We chose Duggary over Zidane.
Also, reza, if there is a bench, shouldn't there be a coach too? I understand that Bielsa is eligible. After all, he did work for two full days as Lazio coach.

Hahaha
I swear, i didn't forget that any of them played for Milan. I counted several times and kept coming up to 6! Haha
but now you got me thinking who i wasn't counting...and it had to be Baggio.
I'm not changing it....as if I did, I'd put Rijkaard in for Pirlo...and that doesn't help me either

A little bored, so I thought I'd go over the reasoning of my lineup...
Buffon - the GK that has maintained world class level for more than 20 years now. Hard not to go with him...even though I don't think i'd ever say he was thE best in the world at any given season...but he was consistently top 3-5 in the world.
Baresi - the best defender of his generation and the previous era (80s - mid 90s)
Nesta - the best CB of his generation (the new era, mid 90s - present)
Maldini - the best defender of the last 30 years. Football has changed. I would divide it in 2 eras (80s - mid 90s and mid 90s-present). Different rules of the game, different styles, etc. The only defender to be a constant in both eras and consistently considered one of the top defenders was Maldini. He evolved with the time and never lacked behind the new developing styles.
Pirlo - he is probably the most unique player since 88. You'd struggle to find a player of his type. As much as we despise him for what he said about Milan after leaving, he was class on the field and probably deserved the Balon Dor in 2006. The amount of titles he won plus his unique-ness on the field meant he has to be included imo.
Zidane - not much needed to say. One of the greatest talents of the last 30 years. It was incredible to watch him play.
R.Baggio - defined Italian football in the 90s...both with his popularity and ability. He was a genious.
Totti - would have had a couple world player of the year awards had he left Roma. People would argue that Kaka or Nedved should be in this spot because they won the Ballon Dor, but Totti's longevity inched him forward for me. Like Baggio in the early to mid 90s, Italian football was associated with Totti in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Ronaldo - one of the most (along with Maradona, Messi and Ronaldinho), if not THE most, naturally gifted player in terms of ability on the ball I've ever seen play. He was unstoppable. And even though consistently injured, it is very hard to have a Serie A line up without him.
Van Basten - probably the most complete CF/ST since 88. I don't even think he himself knew what foot is his favorite foot. Fast, strong, skillfull, could dribble at speed, score headers, overpower defenders, outrun them, shoot with both feet...you name it. 3 time Ballon Dor winner from 88 to 92. What a beast of a player.
Maradona - greatest ever? Maybe. Who knows. It's a good argument nevertheless. Has to be included in the lineup.
Pick a coach too, for those who already picked more than the 6 the coach has to be non Milan
