So Seedorf is really going to leave us at the end of the season, unless something unexpected happens (unexpected and not wanted by the fans !!) ...

In my last post, it was about Ambro leaving, now Seedorf, so maybe we will finally have a new midfield next season ...
Yes because, I love ambro, but Ambro is just not the best of the best. In our team of 3 years ago he was not a sure starter. Also, atm I'd prefer van Bommel.
That's good if Seedorf leaves...

Apparently we're linked with Montolivo which is a HUGE mistake IMO as he's a soft player, not a Champion. That would mean Pirlo is gone too.

It scares me this year is very important in developing our new team if we actually release the senatori.

Also scares me that Ibra leaves Inter and they win Champions League first year... shows that this guy can't get the job done.

Come on, you don't win or lose CL because of one single player ... With Ibrahimovic, the ultra-defensive Inter of last year would have probably win it too !!

Ibra is the contrary of Seedorf: wherever he goes, he wins the league while the other has the record of wins in CL with different teams ... It's just about being at the right place at the right time.
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

Yes to an extent you're correct about being right place in right time, also, it takes a squad to win CL, not 1 player.

However, can't you acknowledge that Diego Milito was very clutch in the Final to score 2 goals and win it for them. Perhaps if Ibra was there instead, maybe it wouldn't go the same way.

I'm a huge Ibra fan, but I'm just trying to connect the dots that wherever he goes, the team struggles in that tournament on the European Stage....
Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. I believe that is IBra is the common denominator though, at least in the latter years.

Milan: one player cannot single-handedly win you the CL (although Kakà arguably did in '07). Our team is generally weak and also unlucky with injuries, so you couldn't really expect us to win.

Inter: they were probably more Ibra dependent that we are now. All they did was search for the long ball to him. This works in Serie A, but not in the CL. Partly because opposition is tougher and partly because Ibra seems to disappear. When they essentially replaced him with Eto'o, Milito, Thiago Motta, Sneijder and Lucio they got a much stronger team which could score in different ways as opposed to waiting for Zlatan-magic. Being a better team is also helpful in the Serie A. Let's also add that Inter were a bit lucky, but nonetheless kudos to them.

Barcelona: Ibra did not fit into that system. Barça lost a dedicated goalscorer in Eto'o, so they were weaker than in previous years. This year they got Villa to fill the spot. Now Barça probably was arguably the best team anyway, since their midfield remained a masterpiece. Against Inter though they were tactically outplayed by Mourinho, and a bit unlucky.

Juve: I have no idea. I guess the team wasn't all that good; after all they did buy the scudetti they "won".

Ajax: Seriously you cannot the Ajax of the 21st century to win the Champions League, even with Maradona in it.

So Zlatan was a contributing factor in the Barcelona-Inter ordeal, along with "chance". For all the other teams he has been mixed in, including the pre-Triplete Inter, they were simply too weak to go all the way in Europe.
The way our Milan played 90min in this 0-0 game in the CL just showed we still have that CL in club's DNA. Its not easy to hide the ball for almost whole game vs Tottenham away... Also becouse we were lacking a classic "regista" in the middle, Pirlo. Players like Flamini, Boa and See did extremly well... But the fact that Milan does not have a CLASS playmaker as Kaka was, as Rui was was shown. If we had Ricky in the place of Binho we'd score 2 in the first half.

Only 2,3 right purchases and this Milan team is ready to play for CL title. Ibra has said he believes in the project, which means Milan WILL buy. Ibra would not stay if things are different.

The defence line lacks one CLASS LB, as Abate now plays as a secure RB, and there is a need for real playmaker behind Pato-Ibra. And that is it.

Any Rumours how much Boateng will cost us this Summer? I don't think Preziosi would want less than 20 Million. Boateng is a Top Class Midfielder...
Coentrao will be a dream, but we are no competition to clubs like real madrid on transfer market these days. I will be satisfied if we get aly sissoko.and I think emanulson has the quality to be at least a decent backup there.

Kaka's pace was such a great weapon in CL games once, but I doubt he still got it after injuries and years of mileage.I would release pirlo plus cash to get robben.robben and pato pair plus allegri's defence system will be very lethal on euro competition.

It's true, we had the whole game set up for a win, but nobody took the lead and finished Tottenham. That's what I remeber Rui Costa was able to do, and Kaká and Sheva... In games like those they did what was needed to be done. But those were finished teams, teams that already were complete. The current team is not.l

And that's why I'm still not to worried. We're not that far from having a team that could challenge Barcelona and the rest of Europe. Especially if Allegri manages to win the League and thereby keep his job. It's clear from Ibra's comments that B & G have real plans for this Milan. A clear project that's bound to make us top Europe, like we've done the last 2-3 times this has happenned.
If Ganso goes to Inter, Coentrao to Real Madrid, D. Luiz to Chelsea (occured already), Boateng gets sold to another team because Preziosi is a d*ck, and before you know it things could get ugly.

I'm not tryint to be negative but rather realistic. I hope Galliani works magic and fill our much needed positions ( LB & ACM )
