Ok seriously either these refs are incompetent or there's some really shady shit going down in this world cup. Last night's officiating performance in the Portugal - Iran match was downright farcical, especially with the penalty for Iran at the end.

The match just now between Nigeria and Argentina was just despicable. Nigeria denied 2 clear penalties for a dangerous high boot in the first half and a blatant handball in the second, which the ref even checked on VAR. Feel gutted for them, Argentina are a disgrace of a side and the sooner they're out the better.

Yeah man.. the handball against Nigeria was confusing.. in times past, i would have agreed that it was ball to hand situation and agree to give the defender the benefit.. but in another match earlier, i forgot who against who, there was a similar situation regarding the ball hitting someones hand by accident but penalty was given after VAR.. theres no precedent to follow i guess.. i think it was because the nigerian striker didnt break stride and continued to shoot with none of his body language indicating the handball disrupted him in anyway.. in fact the ball dropped to him nicely but he fluffed his shot.. he only protested vehemently after he fucked it up big time.. most of the nigerian players too actually.. it might have been too harsh on Argentina in the referees opinion if a penalty was given again After Nigeria couldnt take advantage after the way the ball dropped to the striker and he fluffed it..

Anyway alot of comments online by Mascherano the idiot who played a rubbish match about how Argentina deserved to go through.. the dude has passion and grit.. i will give him that but there were too many instances where he gave away the ball freely.. not to mention the penalty and almost sent argentina out.. first game against iceland he was garbage.. he was totally shit against croatia but the so was the team and caballero especially.. but this game it was totally clear he was no longer the same player from liverpool or barcelona peak.. i have to say.. it might be better if Midfield was Biglia (lol) and Benega starting..

Sampaoli was also a total dick.. he waited till 80mins to put Aguero on.. what a cunt.. and he simply refuses to put Dybala on when Argentina couldnt string 3 passes when in possession.. wtf.. he rather put on Meza..? I would have preferred Di-Maria on the left.. Higuain-Aguero forward and Dybala on the right with Messi behind the 2 forwards.. messi was playing really deep anyway.. it could have opened up the game more since you really want any of those 5 having much of the ball in the 65th minute onwards with the pressure argentina was piling on.. and u cant afford 2 man for marking any of them..

It almost seems as if many refs want the spotlight on themselves and be the protagonist. The Iran penalty was completely non existent.
