Although I chose Allegri as the best man for long term, right now Ranieri is probably the most feasible and safest option should Giampaolo gets the boot. Not only is he among the most experienced on the list, but he also has this calming presence even in the demanding atmosphere like Roma last season.

He'd be able to settle everything down and tends to get players actually playing for him. He won't win us any trophies but I think he comes with the smallest risk. THen, at season's end, We can look at getting someone "better" if needed. Hopefully by then we have new Rich owners that bring in Pep and some TOp class players

Maybe some half assed report over a year ago as a potential candidate. The list should only be coaches that are currently rumored or rumored before the start of the season and are available.

Football Italia 36 Minutes Ago Rudi Garcia and Claudio Ranieri have emerged as possible contenders to replace embattled Milan boss Marco Giampaolo. Milan are expected to sack Giampaolo if they fail to beat Genoa, the former Sampdoria boss having overseen their worst start to the season since the 1938-39 campaign. Despite the club publicly backing their man at the helm, Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Rossoneri could turn to Garcia or Ranieri, if not Luciano Spalletti or Massimiliano Allegri. The former Roma pair are currently out of work and would be more affordable than Spalletti or Allegri. When asked about the role, Ranieri told Radio Uno: “First of all, I’d like Giampaolo to show all his qualities. “I hope he can find solutions for Milan. It’s not a simple situation. As for my own future, the most important thing is a great project.” Ukraine boss and ex-Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko has also been linked, while Arsene Wenger could come forward as an option. The Frenchman left Arsenal in the summer of 2018 and has close links with Diavolo CEO Ivan Gazidis. |
