Big brawls like that are not uncommon unfortunately in South/Central America (looked like a South American match?). I've heard some interesting ideas as to why it is, as a lot of times the losing side will incite it to not lose the match on the pitch, while in some cultures it's a machismo thing (hence there's a lot of strutting around and pushing/shoving in South America).
On a similar note regarding diving, which is generally viewed as weak and negatively in most of Europe, in parts of South America it's about deceiving or "getting one over" an authority figure (the ref).

Sad news. I had a quick look on the youtube page and some of the comments are actually making jokes. Some people are pathetic.
RIP and condolences to his loved ones.

I agree. Those idiots have no heart. How anyone can find amusement out of such tragedy is absolutely beyond me.

It's Internet culture unfortunately, people hide behind a screen and are detached from the reality, like watching a TV show, rather than understanding the real world consequences of what they're watching. We're all guilty of it to an extent, but there are those who don't fully appreciate that it's not always a joke. Of course, others are just ***holes.

Videos like these remind me not to worry about anything that I do wrong on a football field. Professionals have done a lot worse..
Siamo a posto cosi.
