Summer Mercato 2011
I really like Hamsik, but what's been bothering me is all these years he never, for once, performs up to his standard when playing against us.

That makes me like him even more Sagrin

well, actually he did once. In 2007-08, we lost to Napoli 1-3 in the most important game of the season and as a result we were kicked out of the Champions League for 2008-2009. Hamsik scored the first goal and we never stood a chance in that game. Sad

so, now do you still like him? Grinundwech
@ Xudong: Did you ever for once miss a game? Grinundwech

@ Aficio: LOL.. We should renew Seedorf's contract then. That way we have players who can perform both on small and big games. I hope I'm not tempting the fate with this Big Grin
per l'amaro e il dolce
-Marek Hamsik(Napoli)
-Guarin(Porto)
-Fernando(Porto)
-Cabaye(Lille)
-Vidal (Leverkusen)
-Nainngolan(Cagliari)
-Constant(Chievo)
-Hernanes(Lazio)
-Asamoah(Udinese)
-Gökhan inler(Udinese)
-Lazzari(Cagliari)
-Arouca(Santos)
-Jucilei(Anzhi)

Hernanes and Hamsik would be top 2 from this list. Hope we can sign 2 of them for midfield trio...i'd exremely happy...
I do like Thomas Müller from Bayern. IMO he is a modern midfielder, able to defend and attack well. Pity he is already shining with Deutschland AND Bayern. It is almost impossible to get him.
"When Costacurta and Maldini won they didn't celebrate much. They were thinking about winning the next game" - Alessandro Nesta
@xudong: I don't think I can hate anyone now, mate. I love even... Leonardo and Moratti Big Grin so that guy was innocent Big Grin

@Nalx: So Seedorf will be a Pippo for midfield. It's OK since both are two of the most intelligent footballers.
Talking about players in general, i really like Neven Subotic from Dortmund. Fast with the ball, nice skills, really good in the air and young. A great prospect to take the place of Nesta. A bit expensive though, it was reported that after Xmas, Dortmund turned down an offer from Chelsea, around 18mil.

Also, i was impressed lately by Porto's Guarin but i haven't watched him really close this whole year. Any thoughts?
Regarding Mueller, i also rate him high but its impossible to get...

i have never liked Subotic or Hummels or Werder's CB...They are all slow...On the other hand, Luiz is great defender...Chealse did great job by signing him...

Milan were interested in 2 CB's before...S.Coates and Lovren...Both have great potential...Mario Fernandes is highly rated in Brazil...

I wouldn't say that Hummels and Subotic are particularly slow. They both are 22 years old and their partnership this season is the main reason that Dortmund has conceded 19 goals with two games to go in the Bundesliga and the title won.
Second best in goals conceded are Mainz with 37.
And surely they are not as bad as Bremen's terrible defense this season.

In my humble opinion Subotic has got a great future in front of him but i don't expect him to leave a Champions League bound Dortmund this year. Also 16 goals in five seasons are not a bad numbers for a defender.

Luiz looks great and also seems to help a big deal while attacking. Smart move by Chelsea.
