Did anyone watch today's Clasico? Excellent 2nd half by Madrid but two well taken goals by Barcelona were enough to secure them victory.

The main reason I'm bringing this up though is how badly we messed up by letting Modric go. The guy is excellent in midfield for Madrid and has been playing well for many years now. He would definitely have taken our midfield to the next level back then and even more so now. I remember there were some on the forum back then who weren't convinced of his ability but I think he has more than proved himself now...(although I understand that we can never get him now)

neither should win it. Ribery would deserve it more. If the Frenchman didn't win it, it would be the most unfair golden ball since Sneijder didn't even make the top 3 in 2010 (though I was secretly happy that crap happened to Merda).

I don't really hate him, but he is not making it easy for me. He was totally out of form (playing with niggling injury probably) and went through the longest drought since years, then scored twice against Milan, and then out again with injury. Maybe Barcelona would even lose to Celtic or Ajax just to make our life miserable.

I still find it weird how a guy like him who was so plagued with injuries up to 2008, suddenly went 5 years without any injuries whatsoever while playing 99% of matches for Barcelona and Argentina. I guess the schedule finally caught up to him. Pity though..he's one of my favourite players at the moment.
