After popularity of shows like Breaking Bad and The wire and House of Cards, game of thrones etc, the mainstream audience's standards of plotline are higher than before. I rarely feel that the typical Hollywood Blockbusters deliver on that note. Especially those god awful summer releases.
At this time I gotta say, TV shows are trumping Movies. Still, people will never stop going to cinema halls, movies will always have their charm.
