About Sneider, it is only one success story where there many hyped players ended much worse. Even Sneider failed in big club like Real Madrid.
I doubt he is great playmaker, he is even not playmaker IMO. As someone said, he is not Pirlo's type (has great vision and creativity, can change the style/tempo of the game). He is a more central midfielder who can decide fast when and where to pass but he is not that good at playmaking the game. With him as left CM our play will be stuck if we play Boateng as CAM and Bommel+Gattso/Flamini as DMC and MRC.
I prefer a more creative one than Modric. If we get creative left CM, Modric will be great to play as right-central midfielder.
Luck played with him, IMO. There are players like Rui Costa and Batistuta who were signed at a declining age. Millito is another example. Luka is non-EU. Croatia now don't have many talents like in the era of Boban, Suker, Jarni, Tudor,... His club is not big and even played him at wrong position (deeplying). Let imagine Pirlo's partner is not Gattuso but Jermaine Jenas
Now he plays free LCM and succeeds there but he doesn't have many class attacking players to use. He is short and not handsome

Napoli can't afford to have Flamini wages on their team as that will offset their whole team balances. I think Flamini will probably head back to EPL, as that's only place where the teams is willingly to pay his wages.
I think PSG suit him the most. They have crazy money now and Flamini may like to play in his country.

Pirlo's main job is distributing the ball. He played far from opponents' goals so his shoots and passes couldn't reach there easily. Therefore, His goals & assists are not too many.

Modric has only 3 goals, 3 assists this season. But if the two topscorers are Van der Vaart with 13 and Pavlyuchenko with 9, how could he be treated as bad.
Modric plays higher than Pirlo, but his main job is also passing the ball and he doesn't have many class teammates. Pirlo's stats were much better before 0809 when we had Kaka and Sheva, and our team were still young.
