I only watch his video and I could only get a video showing his goals. In one of scene he did a one-two pass ala Kaka and run to the PK area. But there is no scene when he owned the ball and play the the game with his feet. Is he more fitted as CAM behind strikers then other positions?
I don't follow Witsel closely - not at all - but I believe that he is a RCM. More like Gattuso's direct replacement, instead of the LCM that everybody is talking about replacing.
and yes, I also heard that he can be used in multiple positions, but IIRC, his natural position is RCM.

At the moment he is playing as an attacking midfielder for belgium and Standard. But IMO his best position is central midfield. He is very strong at the ball and his passing and scoring ability is great, as he gets into the box often. He is also very strong mentally, wich is quite important!!
I rate him very highly, and for 12-13m he is a steal! He's only 21yo and has A LOT of room for improvement. I would love to have him at Milan, I'm sure he will succeed.
Thanks for the description, guys. With how Allegri and Galliani described our target, it seems they look for player they has described and seems we are in strong position to get the player (no or few opponents to get him aka no bidding war). If Witsel is our target and he is like Beppe descirbed (a potential but not a very young player like Merkel), I see him playing behind the strikers and Ganso as LCM like Galliani and Allegri have said IIRC, that Ganso can play as LCM.
The two signings probably won't give sudden success in CL but seeing how the price of players nowadays and that a team now should fine future star then buying expensive stars (except club which has unlimited money like Real, Chelsea or Syekh's clubs), I will be happy since we still have experienced players and we can build a team that can compete with strong teams in Europe for many years (instead of instant success with giving out so much money which is also not bad).
Whoever ever the management buy, it should be good for Milan for at least some years and we should always provide a competitive team every season. Please, no more suicide and blunder action from management like seasons 2006/07-2009/2010.
