Berlusconi/Galliani do want to be a legitimate UCL challenger though. Obviously they know you can't win it every year, but they want Milan in the mix of the 3 to 5 favorites (like we were under Carlo)
On top of it, players like Nesta and Seedorf want one more go around at UCL before they retire.
To do this we need reinforcements. Because of the midfield and Ibra's continual flop I don't think it's unrealistic to thing he'll be sold to pick up a player like Hulk AND invest heavily in our midfield. As long as we have ibra it's hard to play w/ a creative midfield. He demands too much ball, and wants people to run off him. And in the UCL that's always failed him bcause competition is too hard to be 1 player centric
I might be stretching this too much, but Berlusconi's comments on 'maybe zlatan was a waste of money' and milan's ability to win league with zlatan only playing 2 of final 9 games and milan not missing a beat... it makes you wonder.
