According to La Gazzetta we will be forking over max 25 million euros for Hamsik, while trying to start at 20. I honestly don't see why Napoli would accept such an offer. They want to repeat their season next year, but how will losing Hamsik help them? For 25 mln they can probably buy 2-3 emerging players. That's just a gambit though or at most a future investment, which wont help them next season. Or they replace Hamsik for a "quality" player but at the end of the day they'd still spend about 15-20 mln for him, so they aren't really gaining much from it.
In the meanwhile Galliani excluded Pastore and Ganso from the mezz'ala shortlist, since they don't play that position. He did however pull several names out of his hat: Asamoah, Fabregas, Bale e Van Der Vaart.
