well, we are weak, but that doesn't matter; 
other players may be weak too, but that probably doesn't matter either, because they either don't earn a lot, or aren't under the limelight, or don't shoulder a lot of high expectations, or probably they are already day in and day out performing.
his mental state is understandable (I agree), but he needs to do extra to get out of the current predicament to repay fans who support him (particularly you who are so loyal and extremely supportive) and to "get back to" the ones that already wrote him off, and regain their hearts; instead, before he even did anything significant and meaningful (a tap-in against Anderlecht was not even enough to offset his penalty miss against Fiorentina), he made a stupid decision and said something hurtful (hinting on a possible transfer). he is already 23, and still on the immature side. this is not good.
