I think all these rumors about CR7, Ganso, Hernnaes and even anoer big name players had gone to a lot of our heads. As of today, the players mentioned will not be playing for Milan next year. TO say that Milan can replace Ibra is ungrateful. Can u imagine having strikers like Borri or Hunter again after watching Ibra for a whole season?
He is not scoring goals and getting suspension.... Not going to defend his suspension as that was stupid, but u can't say he is not needed for not scoring in a while. It seems like that whenever the a Milan striker is not scoring people tends to believe he is useless and should be sold. It started with Sheva back in 03 when Pippo was scoring and Sheva was on the bench, then with Pato about 4 games ago and now Ibra.
Milan wouldn't be leading without him, but again if he isn't the focal point of our team, would he have done as well as he did? I don't believe he carried our team to where we are, though we clearly cannot discount his contribution this season.
I'm not being ungrateful in saying we can replace Ibra, as I thought I made it clear that we can consider it if we change our approach or system next season. I wouldn't mind Borriello on the bench as a replacement for Ibra, if we have a different approach in our attacking play which doesn't require a player like Ibrahimovic up front.
I want to make it clear, I have always said Ibra's made a great contribution this season and he's played an important role in our success.
