It's funny how everyone wants to let go of pirlo. Do you not remember his form pre-injury? By far his best year since 2007, cause he was moved to LCM not anchor. He was assisting and creating regularly and our attack had organization and flow....

He's not injury prone. Look at his career. Heck look at last year.

Heck, look at Gattuso, he had acl surgery, and at 33 now, he's still one of the best DM in serie a (as evident of fact he leads league in tackles and tackles per minute). And minus joe jordan's unsportsman instigating, he was man of the match v. tottenham, he carried the team and lifted them forward, and you know it.

Pirlo simply needs to renew on smaller wages like what gattuso and ambrosini have and take more of a squad role. Players like him, age VERY well. Look at scholes at man utd, still very useful. Just not depended to play 50 games a year anymore.

He's still the best passer in serie A by far

I absolutely agree with you about Pirlo. Pirlo was great before his injury when he played left CM. In this side, Milan would a lesser risk compared when he played as last midfielder. The most important one, like has been said, he was free to move forward. Great performance from him in the position and also from Milan.

Only Gattuso or Ambrosini should renew the contract, not both. We don't need too many old DMs. Gattuso has been good this year but that position should be filled with an energetic DM who has better ability going forward since centre of midfield Allergi likes to used a DM (Bommel or Ambrosini). Milan should not play 2 very old DMs if Milan want to play in highest level.

Flamini should be sold. He was injured so often and he gets so big salary.
