I wonder, why wouldn't we try to send him on loan for one season ?
Send him in another country (PSG ?) on loan, let him have less pressure there, keep playing at high level (PSG will be in CL next season), gain confidence in Ligue 1 as he would score tons of goals, let Paris have their star player for next season, let Ancelotti and Leonardo be happy to have Pato and develop his talent, and then, let's take the new Pato back in June 2013.
Everyone would be happy in this case:
- Pato improves
- PSG had a star player for one season before investing massively again for other star players
- Milan gets a confident Pato back (and doesn't have to sell him)
- the fans don't lose a player who is as apreciated as bashed (sometimes by the same people, including me)
No that would be a big mistake..you do not keep a player in Milan only because fans love him. That is why we have Galliani, Allegri and Braida..to make an educated prediction, or bold guess whether Pato is for MIlan or not.
He still holds around 35-40 mil value which is great great money. We should not risk it with a loan. Either we forget the money and trust in him that he will become the player we all know he can, or we cash in.
Just analyse the situation where we send him on loan., and he fails there too. He will come back with even bigger pressure and much more dropped value. And Galliani is smart enough not to let PSG and Leonardo to play with his 40 mil worth of player.
PATO is still young, he has all the time in the world, I don`t know why all of us try to shorten his time...
