Pato was that same star for Internacionale and he was the one who used to carry the team at only 17 years of age. That Pato is not Pato we have today at Milan - that's for sure. He's terribly regressed - for one reason or another.
You can blame it on his coach, his injuries, his teams, his luck but truth is he isn't performing and he's not worth the 20m price tag plus the the 2m (if not more) wages he's earning. The money we could earn from his sale can be used to buy three world-class players or at least two that can offer an immediate impact (TEVEZ).
And no fLame, I am not the only one who thought he played bad. Every dribble failed, his decision making is really bad. He won a penalty and scored a tap-in - is that really so great? But I can't but support the kid and wish for the best. I used to love him in his first and second seasons, however these terrible performances and attitude is just sickening that I have grown to like him less. As I keep repeatedly saying, I believe he has the potential to be devastating...but thats what everyone's thought since he was 17 - thats why we bought him for 20m. He performed like expected first two seasons, but hasn't been able to do the same anymore.
I dont think it's the injuries, it's his attitude and decisions during the game. He wastes sooo many chances every game due to silly decisions and he has no confidence when he plays. How much longer can we wait for him? I really question whether you want Milan's best interest when you want him to start or whether you want Pato's best interest. I dont know man, to me it is very clear and very obvious (and hence why all other non-Milanistas agree) that he is terrible with consistency and can hardly carry Milan when we need him.
We already have Robinho and Cassano to be our third and fourth strikers, now we need a starter. Pato is not yet ready, and who knows if he will be any time soon, but he is the most prized asset we have and he can earn us a great amount of cash that can be invested wisely in other parts of our team.
If Pato would be sold, we can probably get 40m for him. That money can get us Schweinsteiger + a great WC LB, or even Ganso and a striker. Think of it wisely without any bias.
