Pato's words after Fiorentina

"I could even have played before this match. I’ve been training well and I’ve missed the pitch in these last two months. I felt great this evening because I was able to play like I wanted to. I was a bit unlucky hitting the post, the ball just wouldn’t go in but maybe it’ll be better on Wednesday. In the last two months, I always got to training early, 8-8.30 and I was doing double sessions every day. It was good for me. I have to thank the doctors and the physiotherapists that helped me get back playing. I’ll be working hard from now on to avoid any future injuries. I’m happy, I’ve been working on my muscles and my head. Often the injuries can be beat. I worked with a smile on my face because I wanted to get back. I got back today and now I’m happy for it. It was just a shame not to have scored. I’m not worried about the coach’s choices for Wednesday. I’ll be waiting and working hard and if I play, I’ll do my best against Barcelona because it’s an important game. Of course I want to play, anything else would be unthinkable but I have to respect the coach’s decisions. He’s the boss and makes his choices for the good of the team. I don’t judge referees but I don’t dive either. I thought it was a penalty but that’s the way it goes. You just have to think about the next game. I hope I’ll score on Wednesday.”
