Guys, I see your main argument here is that a fit Pirlo is better than both Aquillani and Montolivo... That might be the case, but the problem is in the recent years Pirlo has never been fit for even half of the season.
The other problem is that Pirlo no longer can deliver world class performances for 90 minutes. Do we really need yet another high wage player sitting on the bench?
I would certainly go for Auillani, he seems to be a more talented and promising of the two. The truth with Aquillani, he never really played in a good team. AC Milan with quality players around might lift Aquillani to the level people are expecting from him. If we get him for a reported 8m sum that was mentioned in a press, I think the gamble is 100% worth it.
