Summer mercato 2012

About Zamparini, he says so, but I read somewhere that actually, he's a friend of Berlusconi (everyone thinks he hates him). By saying such a thing, he makes some advert to himself and his club, and at best, he increases the price of Balzaretti, but that means nothing as in business, feelings (hate or love) are useless and can be dangerous.

And if Zamparini really hated us, he wouldn't have "given" us Nocerino. Of course, it would be better for him to sell Balzaretti to Paris (it was a rumour at the start of the season) or any other big club instead of us, but that's it, nowadays, we're the only club interested by this player, and Palermo is known to sell his best players when they have some value ...

A rumour right now : PSG would have made an offer for Thiago Silva ... The summer is going to be long, especially because of these rumours about Barcelona wanting Thiago Silva, and for each interesting player we have, because of Paris (the fact they have Leonardo and Ancelotti just allows the medias to create rumours by saying that Ancelotti likes this or this player since he trained him in Milan, or Leonardo is a friend of him or him ...).

Zamparini for all his comments and attitude will do business with anyone prepared to buy his players. I think you're probably right that he and Berlu have a decent relationship, as we never react to his words.

Regarding the PSG rumours for Thiago Silva, apparently Milannews suggests they will offer 68m for both Thiago Silva and Pato. Personally, I wouldn't sell either right now.

We all know Thiago Silva's value to this side and we can't afford to lose him without having to completely rebuild the backline (again..)
.

As for Pato, I have faith we will see him fit next season. Jean Pierre Meersseman is in charge of rehabilitating him and if there's someone we can trust, it's him. He was the one in charge of milanlab when it was considered the leading medical facility in world football. Since then he took a step away from it and we know how we've suffered with injuries since. On the downside, it was Meersseman who said Pato was fit for Barca, only for Pato to last less than 15 minutes, but I remember Meersseman coming out afterwards to say he'd only worked with Pato for 3 weeks on a problem ongoing for 2 years. Thing is, I think if someone can genuinely help with Pato's case, then Meersseman is the man.

Quote:According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona FC may be able to sign main target Thiago Silva cheaper than expected as Silvio Berlusconi ponders selling Italian giants AC Milan after the recent problems involving the match fixing allegations across Italy.
New Barcelona coach, Tito Vilanova, has previously expressed his interest in Silva as he looks to strengthen his squad and Silva, a key player for Milan as he can play both as a central defender and a central midfielder, came top of his list. However, the Spanish giants believe that he is not worth anymore than 35 or 40 million Euros.
Former Italian prime minister, Berlusconi, is considering leaving the Rossonieri club after having owned them since 1986. His thoughts are that with the current match fixing scandal and worldwide financial problems, this seems like the sensible time to potentially call it a day.

I stopped reading after seeing Mundo Deportivo was the source.

I think it's a good deal ...
We were financially unable to buy Dzeko two years ago when he was in Wolfsburg, and two years later, we could have him for free, and even get some money by swapping him with Ibra. That means Manchester City gives him a value around 10-15M nowadays.

Anyway, I would agree to get Dzeko and let Ibra leave ONLY IF we get a real AM, because I think Dzeko will play at his best if he has a good AM supporting him and the other striker ... If we don't buy any good/excellent AM, let's just keep Ibra who will win us some games alone in Serie A.

This will never happen, because Bayern has offered 25M for Dzeko and City rejected it. They paid 40M for him and they will not let him go under 30M, which would imply that they rate Ibra as a 45-50M player, which I highly doubt, not because of his skills but because his personality and age.

Anyway, Dzeko wouldn't fit in Milan, not just because he needs real AM, but because he plays best when he is a supporting striker, or at least when he plays with a striker similar to him. In Milan, he would only fit with Pato, and even that's questionable. The main reason Dzeko failed in City (other than Mancini is asshole) is that he was played as lone striker or with supporting striker behind him.

I am with you. At this moment, I would give Pato another fresh chance. Also, Galliani just announced that San Siro will install the new hybrid turf which should solve all the current pitch problem and hopefully much of our related injury problem, I am hopeful that Pato could stay away from injury and have a second chance with us.

Agreed, I too am all for giving Pato a second lease of life to prove himself. He's been decent for us with his 0.5 per game average and all the running he puts in when he's on the pitch. If we can somehow work him back into the team properly for the long term, we're gonna have a whole bunch of dancing Brazilians once again.

We got the young 'un's. We take out big gunz  Devilcool
Is it cultural difference? I somehow don't find that dance particularly attractive. Big Grin

I respectfully disagree with many of you here - I'd let Pato go while he still has value. You can't win a championship of any kind when one of your best players is injured multiple times per year. Let a rich team with all kinds of top shelf players take a chance on him. Our financially poor team needs to be efficient with players that can be relied upon week in and week out.
pato at 22 years old.. i hold my firm opinion that you wont find many players at that age that are better for cheaper then we would potentially sell him..

pato is above talented if we keep him healthy.. We can get someone like cavani who wont be out injured as much and will have a similar price tag.. but you keep pato fit he'll score double

Seriously guys pato scores in every 2 games he plays on average.. he'd be a 30/season averager if he could just bloody stay healthy!!! my hope is all on him for next season if we don't make any efficient additions
Guys this is Pato's life in Brazilian NT.

Apparently Lucas Moura was/is his room mate and it seems he gets along with Marcelo and Neymar who always seems to be around Pato. Lets hhope Pato as well a Thiago Silva are encouraging these players to come to MilanSagrin!
I think Pato should definitely stay, think about it, why sell a young player when we are trying to get rid of the old ones and 'buying' young ones? Looking at the future with Pato and El Shaarawy is positive, they are both great players, we are set for the future, we dont have to worry about attackers, if we do sell Pato will we have a guaranteed decent replacement? I dont think so...

Oh by the way the 'Ai se eu te pego dance' is not meant to be attractive, in Brazil just like everywhere else the dance is seen as a little joke, just to fool around.
please god bless us with neymar.....just a wish

I am sure that a lot of Brazilian players would love to play for Milan. That's not an issue; instead, the real issue is if Milan wants to spend on them.
