“The Cerci talks – nothing official yet, but we are at the finish line. Just a few more millimetres,” was the announcement. It will be a straight swap of 18-month loan deals, sending Cerci to San Siro and Torres back to his first major club Atletico Madrid. Seems it may not take all of January after all!

Yes it looks like it. Almost every source is confirming it now.
There are also news that De Jong's extension may not go through. Does that mean that we will try and sell him in January?

I would love it if we sell him and use the money to get Clasie. Verratti is the dream but that may be too much to ask...or is it?

Torres will be ours 100% starting January 5th, no more loan. I guess then we will try to do something with him, complicated lol.

Hey guys !! Long time I haven't posted ...
About Torres : - firstly surprised to see we "bought" him - then, it makes sense : why would Chelsea make the work for us ? They probably gave us the player to stop being annoyed by this (useless) player ... About Cerci : - firstly surprised to see the rumours he would want Inter - then, it makes sense : we were offering a loan, the guy probably wants to be sure about his future ... Now, the Torres-Cerci swap is the best way to start this mercato (for once, before it even started officially). I rate Cerci higher than Honda, so I predict that if Cerci is able to quickly adapt to the game of Inzaghi, then, when Honda will come back from the Asian Cup, and given he will probably need 1-2 weeks to rest, that will mean Cerci will already have played 1 month and a half as a starter. If it works well, Honda will have a place on our bench, or why not, could be tried in midfield.

Good to see you here Geo. Nothing to add, I guess I am repeating when I say Galliani is doing well to undo a mistake but it doesn't improve the team that much. At best it will be what you say, Cerci in place of Honda.
Apparently Galliani will try again for Illarramendi, loan with summer buy. Real will buy Lucas Silva and just offload Illarramendi. |
