But I think Tatarusanu and Mirante are good choices. They are mature and should do something worthy of their wages and Scudetto medal, especially Mirante.

Using Jungdal now is even worse than Inter used Radu, IMO.

I think it is just unlucky, as before coming to Milan he had only 1 injury. Don't know whether I could call it lucky but each time he was injured in different parts: shoulder, wrist then calf

Mike is a huge loss. Bigger than anyone. The dude is a certainty and collects most crosses, controls the box, is good with his feet....and let's not even talk about his shot stopping ability. We will certainly face dangerous attacks with Chelsea, no matter how well we play. It's unreasonable to expect them not to create anything for 90 minutes. Not having Mike back there for me is a bigger loss than anyone else in the squad. Because you can alter tactics to cover for someone else (Theo, Leao, Tonali, etc). But there is nothing you can do about a GK.

Also, it seems we have to make a decision very soon on his replacement. UEFA rules say we can temporarily replace a GK if we don't have 2 available. Since we've only registered 2 (Mirante and Mike), we can temporarily replace Mike for 30 days due to injury. Tricky part is it HAS to be 30 days. So it's not like we can replace him for the 1st Chelsea game and bring him back for the 2nd. We also can't wait too long to make this decision if we want him back for the final two games due to that 30 day window. It would also be stupidity to go to London with only 1 GK. We could bring a primavera one I guess, but god I hope we don't get in a situation where we have to use him. My guess is the club is hoping this isn't serious and he can be back at least for the 2nd Chelsea game. I can't think of another reason why we haven't officially replaced him with Tata yet.

Edit: I guess it's now official that we will replace Mike with Tata. This sucks. Fuking terrible. He'll miss both Chelsea games. How can we be THIS unlucky!?!?! Fuck these international breaks. Useless games! Waste of time

Yeah, we should at least train a young understudy for Mike, a GK with a tactical view and can use his feet.

Tata & Mirante are too old for that. I'm not sure about Jungdal and I still regret the departure of Desplanches (hope that we have buy-back clause).

Mike gets injured like an outfield player. He plays like one too. I will say this, he is great at ball distribution and overall GK consistency. BUT, he is not a great shot stopper. He is good, but not great. He excels in pretty much everything else. So, we may not miss him as much as some may think. Don’t forget, Tata did well last season.

Tata's penalty save against Inter is one of Scudetto defined moments. He reminds me of Kalac, a 2m GK who is good at shot-stopping.
