Bottom line, we have not really impressed this season besides that away match against Udinese. Second place and no defeats in 22 matches is just crazy when you see our play. Time to stick the finger to the ground and be honest. I just saw that Allegri was praising the performance. Wtf? For what?

If Malen had been Martinez it should have been 3-0 to Roma at the break.. Just a good Maignan and luck saved us.

Im tired of people praising this team, they must wake up and try to play football. In possesion we are horrendous. So many mistakes. On top of that cautious, boring football, with no risksk at all. At least 10 times i saw Leao or someone else get the ball in promising positions, but deciced to play it backwards. We cant ride this luck for so much more.. Do something Mister Allergri!

I agree. Leao being in the center cages him and he can’t make those explosive runs beating his man 1v1. Too many defenders around him as a striker. We should try a 3-4-3. Leao and Pulisic wide and Fulkrug at the target.

I thought it was hilarious that with 2 minutes to go, we had a free kick right in front of Allegri and the players (in a natural reaction) wanted to take it quick and attempt to go forward. Allegri stopped them and told them to slow down, calling Mike over to the sideline to take the free kick.

That reaction right there, told me all I need to know about our (Allegri's) ambition for this season. I get that a point is appreciated in Rome and there are another 16 games to be played. But this man comes at each pre-match press conference and each time he has recalculated the amount of expected points for a CL spot. That's all he (and i'm assuming this management and ownership) care about.

Considering how last season ended, at the beginning of this one, I would have signed up for a top 4 finish. But 21 games, we were 3 points from the top...and this management (coaching staff, directors and ownership) owes it to the fans and the colors of the jersey to give it a full go. Instead, we have our manager talking about projected points for the CL and stops players from trying to play quick and attempt to win a game.

As far as our game play goes....i'm not surprised. The results Allegri is getting are almost a miracle seeing the mediocre quality of our defensive unit and dysfunction attack. Allegri won't change. He will always have a pragmatic, compact and low-risk approach to every game. We knew this, and it shouldn't be a surprise. If we want to win titles with Allegri, we need better players. Simple as that.
