This system doesn’t suit Leao and Pulisic. But it suits the rest of the team, central defenders get less exposed and our attacking wingbacks are more protected. This formation could even keep Theo on board.
IMO this system would be even better with an extra central midfielder. But that would sacrifice Pulisic or Leao.
A lot of things to think about how we want to play next season when assembling the squad. Mgmt has to do it right this time.

Reaching the coppa final is nice and we can even reach Europa league football. But it doesn’t save our season, not even close. Season is a disaster! We wil still finish in 9th place and are out of CL after the first round. So I dont get the mockery on Inter from some fans (on other forums), they are having an excellent season and Coppa is only Coppa for them. They have a good chance of winning the league and are still in the Champions League, and will play the Club world Cup which generates a lot of money!

I think its a little early to say that it doesnt suit Leao or Pulisic. Leao bagged a goal and assist in this formation against Udinese, Pulisic with a assist. Average performance against Atalanta and Inter yesterday, but lets mould this formation, i think they both could thrive when getting used to it. 

Im really curious about Theo. Now he play in the position he should have been playing in fromt the start. Will this change his contract situation? He is nowhere a 7/8 million player a year, but will the management and Theo make a deal on 6 million? I think its difficult, but i could se a glimpse of a happy and motivated Theo. Lets see.

Also Abraham proved to be useful and we just spend 35m on Gimenez. A saelemaekers swap with Abraham looks like a real possibility.
But that would mean we would have 3 strikers all decent enough to be useful but none good enough to be a starter here.

His problem is salary. Being "useful" for 6M per year is not enough. If he agrees to more "symbolical" salary, as Jovic is getting, than sure, keep this "useful" player around. But at 6M, simply - no.

I agree with the general consensus that winning the Coppa doesn't save the sesson. The #1 objective was the Scudetto, then the CL qualification. We failed miserably at both. 

For me, not playing in the CL next season is a disaster.

With that said, Milan is no position to "look down" on trophies. We've barely won anything the last 15 years and have been stuck in mediocrity more often than not. So yes, winning the Coppa will be great. Also because we dumped Inter out of the way to do it. And then, even though the EL is not the CL (both on terms of € and prestige/big games it offers)....its new format is vastly improved compared to previous editions.
