Week 15: Milan - Sassuolo December 14 2025 12:30CET - reza - 12-11-2025

Early game. Leao set to miss this game and possibly the upcoming Supercoppa.

Berardi is injured. Our old friend Vranckx is playing for Sassuolo.

Should be a 100% victory no matter what. Sassuolo is by no means a walk over though. Pretty good start to the season. They are dangerous going forward, but exposes room a lot, so it should be good room for counters. Extremely important that Puli is ready. Gimenez should be on the bench, same for Fofana.

Probable: Maignan- Tomori- Gabbia- Pavlovic- Saelemaekers- RLC- Modric- Rabiot- Bartesaghi- Nkunku- Pulisic. Maybe Fofana for RLC and Estupinan for Bartesaghi.

Forza Milan!

I wonder if we try 3-6-1 again this match, or even test the no-forward formation.

Berardi out for Sassuolo. Their most dangerous player.

Berardi has 11 goals and 7 assists in 20 matches versus Milan.

We have an opportunity to separate from the chasing pack over the next few games. Maybe not so much from Napoli/Inter, but definitely from 4th spot Roma and below.

It's about time we start handling business against mid-lower table teams. Over the next few rounds, through January 6th (19th matchday, which marks the halfway mark).....while we play Sassuolo, Verona, Cagliari and Genoa, the following is also happening between the teams that are (will be) fighting for the CL spots:
Bologna vs Juve
Roma vs Como
Juve vs Roma
Atalana vs Inter
Atalanta vs Roma
Inter vs Bologna
Lazio vs Napoli
Bologna vs Atalanta.

So if we can go ona a little run and win the next 4, we can start the second half of the season with a good cushion over 5th position, and even over Inter/Napoli. I think it's pretty clear at this point that we should be (and hopefully will be) fighting for the Scudetto. With that being said, IF we hit a snag and fall apart for some reason in the 2nd half of the season, I'd rather have a nice cushion over 5th position and at least end comfortably in the CL spots. And I think this is our (perfect) opportunity to build that cushion.

There were some prediction about Jashari could start instead of Modric, but Allegri opts to a stable option, though Modric's form gets a little unstable recently (maybe due to the research of other teams).

Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Nkunku.
Bench: Pittarella, Terracciano; Athekame, De Winter, Estupiñan, Odogu; Jashari, Ricci.

Both Jashari & Ricci are likely to have some minutes. It is nice if Athekame could, too.

0-1 Kone had a nice finish, but this is the problem of average CBs. Something unpredicted, then...

0-1. So we need another comeback...
