Quoting my own post from the main mercato thread. After some serious research (aka watching YouTube highlights
), I think he is at least decent. Holds the ball well, doesn't go down easily, dribbles well, pretty fast, good vision, mainly plays in the middle and right side, exactly what we need. Yes he is old, but maybe he is not for the future. He probably will play (or, even start?) right away. He is already better than Samu and maybe even Saelesmaekers. As for the high loan fee, perhaps Crotone knows that we are in for a quick fix and may not pick up the option to buy?
Either way I am now optimistic. After all he is one of us now so automatically he has my full support.

I had seen him last season and he was good. did very well despite being surrounded by average players.
Will hopefully see him step up this season.

Really think Messias will surprise us all. Definitely has the Brazilian flare we have been missing for a while. I would try him in full team ahead of Saelmakers.
Regarding his age, remember Cafu, he joined us when he was 33 and yet played 119 games. Messias has my fulll support

After watching some videos of him too, I liked what I saw.
Honestly, I don't know if he'll be a starter or will be able to become one, but from what I saw, he could very well be the perfect impact player replacing the hard working Saelemakers around the 60th minute, or even come in when we need to break the defense of our opponent.
It's been a long time we haven't seen a player able to really dribble an opponent in Milan, so it could be some funny moments to watch if he can step up in Serie A in our club.
Also, I'm curious to see if he can actually improve and become a really good new player with a well built squad, and good players around him.
Not expecting much at this stage, but he has it all to be an excellent surprise for our season.

Messias is on the sidelines again due to a new muscle strain, adding that a follow-up exam is scheduled in ten days, which certainly suggests he will miss the matches against Hellas Verona, Porto and Bologna.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that the MRI scan he underwent showed a lesion of the rectus femoris muscle of the left thigh, a problem that will keep Messias out of action for three weeks approximately.
From that information, we can deduce that he might actually miss the next six games including two in the Champions League against Porto, with the derby early in November potentially the return date to aim for.
Out for another month. Played 15 mins so far this season...
