RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - xudong - 05-24-2016 exactly.
RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 05-24-2016 Latest rumours in the Italian press are that Silvio will remain as honourary president for another 2 years. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - devoted_dm - 05-24-2016 Also he seems to more or less have confirmed that he's selling the club, at a private dinner yesterday. He apparently said that he's not investing more money in Milan, and that he wants to sell the whole club to the Chinese. He also asked who would be happy if he sold, and when a few Chinese guests raised their hands, he told them they'd soon be very happy. I think this is really happening...! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - slifersd - 05-24-2016 Not that I am not excited about the potential sale, hell, just the names Emery and Benatia alone got me excited for a whole day. But I still think we should temper our expectations a little bit. Berlusconi's words are as bad as Galliani's hair, and he is known for being unreliable and change his mind often. Would it really be a shock to everyone if he has a change of his heart and decided "Milan is my love, always" and refuse to sign the transfer papers at the last second? Until the paperwork are all signed and sealed, we unfortunately need to prepare for the worst here. The one thing I do give Berlu credit for, is that he is insistent on figuring out who the members of the consortium are and their plans. Without fully understanding who these people are and what they actually want with Milan, we run the risk of owners lose interest in a couple of years and run the team to the ground again. Although Berlu is certainly doing this for his own benefits (important after the whole Bee fiasco), this due diligence can do the team a lot of good as well. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 05-24-2016 I believe Berlusconi also found out the backers for Bee when dealing with him too. Anyway, I continue to wait and see what's going to happen. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - am I Milan enough? - 05-25-2016 Lets not put your hope too high, this old man can do whatever he wants to satisfy himself. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 05-25-2016 Apparently the Chinese consortium members have been revealed (though the source is Tuttosport, so take with a pinch of salt). http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/tuttosport-milan-la-tv-di-stato-cinese-svela-quattro-investitori-della-cordata-ecco-chi-sono-212014 The members are... Robin Li (worth 14 billion): Baidu search engine founder Hui Ka Yan (aka Xu Jiayin worth 9 billion): Of Evergrande Real Estate Group He Xiangjian (worth 8 billion): Owns Midea home appliances Eric Xu: Not sure who this is as there are two people who share the same name. First is president of Yifang and co-founder of Baidu with Robin Li, the second is CEO of Huawei, who already are partners of Milan. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - somedevil - 05-25-2016 This is not a bad consortium. But what is the catch? RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - sylrus - 05-25-2016 the catch is we will be made in china, cheap stuff that get broken easily, unless the internal organ is expensive as shit, it will last long enough. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 05-25-2016 Gazzetta world's article http://www.gazzettaworld.com/news/serie-a/milan/investors-identities-revealed/? |
